💞Dogs 💓Cats 💘Playing 💗Petting

Pet care experience

In brief: 👨🏻‍🎓9 years experience ✔️Considerate, Confident, Thorough 🌞Can jog or intensive play with high energy dogs 🌛Can administer medication/care for seniors ⛅️Comfortable with anxious dogs 💥Comfortable with reactive dogs 😽Plenty of experience with and love for cats 📸 @gimmethosepuppyeyes 📣 Vacations/short term only ❣️ I have deeply loved and been lucky enough to live with dogs my entire life. I began professionally walking dogs in 2014 and have learned quite a bit since then. I’ve individually worked with every age range and a broad spectrum of sizes and breeds. Most notably I’ve worked full time at a busy daycare and managed large groups of different temperaments and their interactions with each other. Since then, while I love just getting dogs out to stretch their legs, I have also found that working on behavioral development with less responsive dogs (as I practiced often at the daycare) strengthens our relationship, and makes my time with them more enjoyable for both of us. ✌🏼 I welcome a “problem child” As far as special needs, I’m very familiar with administering medication and pacing slowly for seniors, and also perfectly comfortable with hyperactive dogs. I am comfortable with reactive/aggressive dogs as long as they have been muzzle trained or have strict protocol, as well as those with lunging or barking habits. 🐅🐾🐈‍⬛🐾🐆🐾🐈✨ When I was younger I considered myself a “dog person” but then I moved into the city. I was delighted by all the ferile friends until I soon enough saw how difficult their lives are. Over the years, I took countless cats in for shots and spaying, ferried major health risks to no-kill shelters, and generally fed and monitored my local crew, finding homes as I could for the more indoor oriented kits. They’re very particular creatures, and I’m by no means a magician— in my experience, cats have no guarantees— but I understand their needs as best I can and I love them very, very much. As with dogs, I am comfortable administering medication to cats, including insulin. 🤲🏻💕

Reed is fantastic with Rocky. He loves his walks and we are so lucky for the support of such a caring and quality dog walker. So thankful for all the help we got. It was such a relief knowing Rocky was in the right hands!

I have no shortage of wonderful things to say about Reed. She is extremely thorough. She arrived at our meet and greet and asked me alot of questions to get to know Phoenix better. She is extremely passionate about animals and takes her job seriously. Her reviews are incredible and her photos she took of my dog the last few months were professional quality. It was the cherry on top to know not only did he have a great work but as his dad I had great pictures of him too. Some of which are so good I'm getting them framed. My only negative comment is that Reed's schedule has recently changed and she can no longer provide recurring dog walking services.

Any home I enter regardless is treated with consideration and respect. I clean what I’ve dirtied, put back what I’ve moved, and communicate when in any doubt.

Information Reed F. would like to know about your pet

Mostly importantly, I need to know what commands they’re familiar with and which are necessary most often. Knowing which behaviors may need to be addressed and how is very useful. While the dog may react differently to me in general it’s best I know their most frequent interactions so I can try to mirror/edit them. It’s very useful for me to know what their favorite treats/scents are (I have a trove). I will absolutely ask and note on my phone (but reminding never hurts) if they have any allergies or sensitivities to certain foods or materials in general.

A typical day

I generally greet a pet with a treat, generally limited ingredient meat training treats, if their diet allows. During walks I bring a large water bottle and small expandable bowl for water breaks, as well as high scent treats if distraction is necessary at any point. I will google maps search any parks or sports fields in the vicinity that might be ideal for playing, and bring any toy of interest.

I have flexible availability all weekdays and weekends.
