I recently left my job at a boarding facility to pursue my own business. My work allows me to work mostly from home and it is also centered around dogs so my entire routine is based on the dogs in my care. I’m up around 6am every day to feed any dogs in my home whether that’s my own or any boarding or training dogs I have staying with me. Then I organize the dogs I have in my care to spend the morning walking around a park, going for a hike or a similar outdoor activity. If I need to leave home I try to do it between 10am - 12pm while my partner and roommate are working from home and can be available for any dogs that have separation anxiety. Then I make myself available for any afternoon feedings or treats that need to be done and organize more trips outside or inside activities depending on the group of dogs I have. Then I usually do dinner time for the dogs in my care around 5pm with a final potty break around 7/8pm. For puppies I can provide more frequent potty breaks throughout the day and night as well. I usually try to fit the activities I do around the group of dogs I have taking care not to be too active with certain dogs and not too much down time for others. If you have a couch potato kind of dog they’ll be best friends with my partner!!
