Bed & Barkfest for 4 legged friends

Pet care experience

After 20+ years of working in the equestrian and large animal industry, I am now switching gears, attending school and working from home; which means I can give full attention to your pets should they need a home away from home for a few days. I grew up on a farm where we had various animals and breeds of all shapes and sizes (and personalities). I have over 15 years of farm-sitting, house-sitting, and pet-sitting experience ranging from small pet households to large farm settings of 30+ animals. I follow positive reward approaches and understand that each animal is a unique individual being with their own personality, needs, and preferences. I am more than happy to work with each household to ensure their stay is as stress-free and calm, yet still fun, as possible.

We only have good things to say about Rebekah! Her communication is excellent, she sends great picture & video updates, she's super safety-conscious & detail-oriented, and is kind & accommodating to all of my dog's quirks. It's so nice and refreshing to be able to travel worry-free whenever our pup stays with Rebekah. We will absolutely be using her again in the future!

I have a fenced-in backyard that is secure with gates and it is 5+ feet tall, and your pet is allowed to enjoy and explore that space. If walks are preferred, they can go on multiple walks a day around the neighborhood, or I can take them on a local path (walking distance from my home) where they can enjoy a bit more nature and scenery. My home is two stories, but I am happy to gate off the second floor if the stairs aren't great for our older friends and I can crate if that is a preference of yours. I am also more than happy to send pictures and videos during their stay so that you're able to see how things are going and can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

1. What is your pet’s normal routine? - Do they like to have time in the yard to enjoy a nap in the sun, or do they prefer walks to get their daily dose of vitamin D? 2. Are there any behaviors that I should be aware of? - Such as resource guarding? - Any past injuries of note? - Any movement restrictions? (Going up and down stairs, getting on or off furniture) - How is your pet with other animals, individuals, children, etc.? 3. A typical day

While enjoying time at the Bed and Barkfest (my home), your 4-legged buddy will be allowed to have playtime and leisure time where they can have access to individual attention, and also nap to their hearts' content. Canine visitors are welcome to enjoy sniffs and sun baths around my yard (tall fencing) with proper supervision. They will also have the option of exploring the outdoors via a leashed walk around the neighborhood (short leash around the neighborhood, though a long leash is allowed for romps in the local park/field). If allowed, the occasional trail walk can be scheduled and enjoyed (weather and travel permission permitted). If your canine friend has a preferable game or activity they enjoy, please be sure to let me know so that I can make sure to include that in our time together. Feline visitors will also be treated to activity or leisure time (whichever their preference is - activity and social level-wise). If the Feline visitor is leashed (harness) trained, Kitty walks are also available. There are also ample soft and cuddly blankets available for nesting in, for when the clock strikes 'Cat Nap' time.

I am currently taking classes from home, so I am available throughout the day to give attention to, play with, and care for your 4 legged friends. I am happy to take them on walks or let them sun-bath in our secured fenced back yard if that is their preference (especially for our older friends).
