40+ years Experience -Vet Assistant

Pet care experience

👉👉PLEASE READ ENTIRE PROFILE BELOW BEFORE SUBMITTING A REQUEST👈👈 ✨ For safety I DO NOT accept INTACT/UN-NEUTERED MALES - NO EXCEPTIONS✨ ‼️NOTE: We do board dogs from multiple households and safety is our top priority - both mental and physical. If your dog has high anxiety (I.E. being around multiple dogs or has severe separation anxiety) we are not the right environment for your dog and we would suggest finding a sitter that only does individual dogs per boarding.‼️ Hello! I have been caring for all kinds of animals for 38+ years, previously worked as a Veterinary Assistant with both large & small animals for 10+ years, & continue to provide exceptional care to each individual family & critter that we are blessed with in our home. As a former equine rehabilitation & habituation trainer I also have experience with canine behavior modification & can care for special needs dogs, puppies, seniors, administer all medications, etc, without any issues. You can trust that your pet(s) will be loved and well taken care of while you are away. Whether that means your pups enjoy a 1 day vacation, or if they are boarding for 2 months - we've got your fur-babies covered, short & long term! There is always someone around to love on the animals & help with any needs that arise. My husband & I work primarily from home while we lead a church here in Cordova & homeschool our 3 kids: ages (almost) 13, 15, & 17. They love the dogs we host & often argue over which dog stays in which room at night *lol*. Our 3 dogs are very socialized, friendly, & make other dogs feel at ease while they are here. They love to have company! This means your pet(s) will never feel lonely or neglected while they are in our care. We live in a spacious single-family home that offers plenty of places to nap & relax inside. The backyard is spacious & has plenty of room to run & play - complete with pea gravel to keep the pups (& our house) clean & fresh! Safety is always first, so we have motion sensor lights all along the fence for nighttime play & "coyote rollers" along the top of the fence (these are PVC pipes that roll if a dog jumps up on the fence & the rolling action deters future jumping), just incase any guests like to chase the squirrels & jump up on the new 6' tall privacy fence. We live in a nice, quiet, dog & family-friendly neighborhood. ✅ REQUIREMENTS: ---> NEUTERED MALES ONLY! NO EXCEPTIONS! ---> Vaccines: All dogs must be current on ALL Vaccines, including Kennel Cough (Bordatella). Proof of vaccination is required (a screenshot is fine). ---> Heartworm & Flea/Tick Prevention: All dogs must be current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. —-> Dogs must be crate trained unless previous arrangements are made at meet-n-greet. We only crate at night or when we are all gone for a few hours on Sunday for church. This helps ensure your pet’s safety, as well as our house. ---> Meet & Greets - see below... ✅ MEET-N-GREETS are REQUIRED for all new clients: Meet & greets are done at our home outside in the front yard (neutral area). We introduce your pet(s) to our dog(s) to ensure there are no issues. If everything goes well, they can have a little time in the backyard to run and play and get acquainted. We have never had any issues thanks to our “Ambassador Dog”, Ruckus. He matches the energy level of each dog he meets & makes them feel welcome & at ease. ✅ UPON ARRIVAL: When your dog’s stay begins, I will have all other dogs put up to ensure everyone's safety & sanity. After your pet has acclimated some, we will do 1 on 1 introductions with any other dogs who are also staying with us. Then, after all individual introductions are complete, all the dogs go outside for some fun, supervised pack playtime in backyard. When everyone looks like they are done with their Zoomies & playtime, we bring the dogs back inside & they stay loose in the downstairs portion of the house (we love our hardwood laminate floors incase there are any accidents 😉 ) & can lounge on the couches, dog beds, or wherever they would like to. (Baby gates are throughout the downstairs to help separate dogs of different sizes & temperaments during the day and/or as needed for resting.) ✅. CRATES: ~~ We do crate at night, or if the entire family leaves the house. This is to ensure the safety of all pets and the household. ~~ However, If your dog is not crate trained, calm, older, is not destructive, gets along well with our dogs, & does not have severe separation anxiety, we can accommodate them as well and they can stay loose in the house, or in one of the bedrooms if they like to lounge on a bed. This is a case-by-case basis assessed with each dog at each boarding. We love the pups, and we like to keep our house, belongings, & people safe as well. ~~ No need to bring a crate, we have plenty! Each crate has a soft bed/pad that is washed after each dog leaves. We have 5, XL Crates suitable for Lab/Shepherd size dogs and 1 XXL Crate suitable for Great Dane/Pyrenees size dogs (or 2 Lab/Shepherd size dogs, if it’s a family group and they like to sleep together). ~~ Crates are located in our downstairs bedrooms so no pup sleeps alone and is always monitored by a loving human throughout the night. ~~ If your dog has special needs and needs a special type of crate or smaller crate, please contact me BEFORE you request a booking to make sure we can accommodate your dog and/or discuss if you need to bring a crate. 🐶 DROP OFF & PICK UP: * Drop off hours are Flexible and begin at 6:30am. If you need an earlier drop off time, let me know ahead of time so we can discuss. * Pick up hours are also flexible – latest pick up at 8pm unless otherwise pre-arranged. 🐶 PHOTOS: Having a visual confirmation on your pet’s stay is important to all pet parents. That’s why I take daily photos and/or videos and post them to your Rover profile for your enjoyment. * If you do not wish to have photos of your pet(s) posted to your Rover account, please let me know.

My puppy had a blast at Rebecca’s home while I was away for 6 days. Rebecca sent photo and video updates everyday and I was assured that my pup was safe, happy, and well taken care of. He came back home ready to sleep after a full week of playtime and socializing. I’ll definitely keep Rebecca in mind for future boarding needs! Thank you, thank you!

Safety, trust & environment

✅SAFETY: Safety is our #1 Priority. While your pup is here we provide supervised group "pack play" outside. We only do this after we make sure that each dog gets along with their prospective play buddies by doing individual, supervised, meet-n-greets with each individual dog & any new boarders. We match dogs by size & temperament for playtimes if we have several dogs here. Please understand that dogs, as a rule, can (and do) play rough and scrapes can happen (just like kids on a playground). The humans on watch will do everything they can to avoid any issues, but if something ever arises they will provide immediate care & you will be notified promptly. 🐕 WHAT KIND OF DOGS DO BEST HERE? 🐩 We love meeting new dogs, however, SOCIALIZED dogs do best in our environment. If your dog prefers to be alone, is very timid or fearful, is super stressed around other (large) dogs, has aggressive/anxiety-based destructive behaviors -- then we are NOT the sitter for you. High anxiety dogs do best with a sitter who can provide more one-on-one human interaction versus a dog playgroup. Please keep this in mind as you consider us as a potential dog sitter. We are not for every dog & we want to ensure your dog is comfortable in its environment & enjoys their stay. Safety is always first, & this includes their mental well-being.

A typical day

A TYPICAL DAY: ~ 6 AM to 8 AM: Wake up, Potty, Breakfast, and Potty again as we take care of drop-offs & pick-us. ~ 8:30 AM to 12 PM: Playtime! Inside & Outside play. ~ 12 PM to 2 PM: Potty breaks and Inside playtime & resting. ~ 3 PM to 5 PM: Potty breaks, Outside/Inside playtime. ~ 5 PM to 5:30 PM - Dinner! Get ready for pick-ups. ~ 5:30 to 11 PM: Pick-ups, potty breaks & outside time as needed, and resting indoors. ~ 11 PM: Last potty break at 11pm before lights out. We go outside in the fenced-in backyard for pack playtime. We have pea gravel covering every bit of the yard, except the 2 concrete patios for us humans. This helps keep the pups, and our house, cleaner since we don't have to deal with mud. Playtime duration is between 30 min to 1 hour each time, depending on weather. The dogs are always supervised during pack play. They have plenty of free access water outside, large shady trees, and plenty of friends, both furry and human. We don’t leave dogs outside all day – they are inside after they run off the Zoomies and are a part of our family. If your dog is shy or timid, we will separate play times and play mates to match your dog’s needs and personality.
