Pet care experience
As of September 22, 2023 I will be retiring my services in the Seattle area. In April 2024 I will be reopening in the Sherman/Denison, Texas area. Thank you to all who have given me the privilege of caring for their non-human family members. I have a flexible schedule and time to care for dogs. After almost a decade of watching dogs in my home I am currently focusing on caring for your dog in your house. I'm a small business owner with years of experience in the medical care field as a nurse’s aide, physician’s assistant, EKG tech, and home health aide. I am also a writer, researcher and editor. I adopt senior dogs so am very aware of the issues that our older canines face. Four of mine have had eye issues so I’m very comfortable with administering eye drops and salves. I can also pill dogs, give injections and change dressings. I am able to accommodate special dietary needs. I look forward to meeting you. Why I love dog sitting While I've loved dogs my whole life, I didn't get my own dog until 2005 when I adopted Simba, a 10 year old Chinese Crested. Pixie and Marvin were seniors when I adopted them. Bizbee and Charlie were permanent fosters. I love the Chinese crested personality and cuteness! I love all dogs but especially love our senior citizens. I currently do not have a dog but will someday in the future.

Thank you, Rebecca! SHE IS a dog whisper! She sat for two non-social dogs that had never been apart from both owners simultaneously. Her in depth knowledge and experience with dogs was recognized at the first meet-n-greet, but even more so with the two days/one night she spent at our home caring for Buddy and Willow. She knows dogs, their temperaments, senses, etc. Rebecca provided us an opportunity to go have a wonderful experience at our youngest daughter's college graduation without the concerns of working schedules around the dogs. She was a 'big piece' of making that all happen, and words cannot express our gratitude for your services!! Highly recommend Rebecca!! One very special lady!!

The most important this for me is energy level. I am best with low and medium low energy dogs. Does your dog have special needs and how well do they get along with other dogs. If they have any quirks that's very helpful to know. Please make sure they are up to date on all vaccinations, especially their rabies shot. I would like to know if they have been treated for fleas.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Depending on where you live will depend on where I take your dog. We may just walk around your neighborhood or I may put them in the car to take them on walks to different parks around the area. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will follow whatever routine you have with it. If you allow it to sleep in bed with you I will allow it to sleep in bed with me. Time I'll spend with your dog I am at home so the most I'm away is when I run errands or walk dogs. The longest I'm ever gone is 3 hours. Please let me know if there are certain times or days of the week where your dog needs extra care. For example - some dogs I have taken care of do not like garbage day so I make sure to have them out of the neighborhood when the garbage trucks come through.

Watching and walking dogs is my full-time profession. All my energy is devoted to taking care of dogs. I screen dogs carefully to make sure we are a good fit.
