Great With Needy & High Energy Dogs
Pet care experience
PLEASE NOTE: I am extremely allergic to peanuts and am unable to administer peanut butter kongs or other peanut butter related treats unless they are pre-made and consumed outside. I've had dogs all my life, and have trained most of them myself or with the aid of my family. All of my dogs have been medium sized, but were all very muscular, and I've dog sat full sized great danes, so I'm no stranger to bigger dogs. I've been professionally dog walking/sitting for over two years. The happiness and safety of your fur babies is very important to me. I love playing and exercising with dogs, and will wear them out but I am not a runner/jogger. I have experience administering medication orally and through injections as well as with incontinent dogs. I also have a lot of experience with hyper, nervous, shy, and fear agressive dogs. Rescue dogs have a soft spot in my heart, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make your dog comfortable and happy! Rates are subject to change based on the level of care and attention your animals and home require. For housedittings, I stay overnight unless otherwise requested. For constant care, where I do not leave the house at all, I charge $25/hr or $350 per 24hrs. I recommend booking constant care stays at least 6 weeks in advance so I can block off my schedule. I am unavailable for any service before 8am. Some exceptions may be made for repeat clients. Please note I do have another job, so I may not be available at the same times every day or week. I am happy to work around your timing needs as best I can, but flexibility is appreciated! For clients farther than 5 miles away from my home by car (as opposed to 5 miles as the crow flies), I charge an extra dollar per mile, per drop-in/walk to compensate for the extra gas and wear and tear on my vehicle. The health and safety of you and your pets is my top priority and I am happy to wear a mask during meet and greets upon request, and will alert any clients of COVID symptoms or a positive test should the situation arise. I am fully vaccinated, as is everyone in my household. Photos of me and my dog (Dubs!) by Emily Kalvels.
Reviews
Rebecca is phenomenal! I feel like I won the dog sitter lottery. She is kind, thorough, and genuinely cares about my dogs. When she stopped by to meet them before booking she asked the best questions! I knew they would be well taken care of. I reached out to book a last minute drop-in and she was very responsive and timely with communication. My dachshund had anxiety upon her first visit, but Rebecca was patient with her and accurately assessed her needs/mood. Last but not least - her visit notes are A+!
Rebecca was so great and was very responsive and helped out last minute. The visit comments were detailed and really helped us feel at ease with the puppy getting love and attention he needed. So thankful for her coming over!
We have been having Rebecca do drop in visits for our reactive dog for 7 months. Rebecca is always prompt and extremely detailed on her check ins with us. I always used to be worried when someone was watching our pup since he can be very anxious with other people, but he loves Rebecca and is in great hands!
Thank you Rebecca!!! You were an amazing dog walker and such a detailed note. Thank you for helping us last minute, we can’t wait to call you again!

I always try to stick as close to your animals usual routine to make them as comfortable as possible. I am very careful opening exterior doors so animals don't escape. Dogs are never left alone in the yard and are always monitored when chewing on toys to prevent swallowing something and creating an obstruction.
Information Rebecca R. would like to know about your pet
-Any injuries, medications, allergies -Triggers/fears (other animals, people, storms, etc.) -Any scheduled maintenance on the house during my stay (lawn care, maid, construction, etc) -General household care (trash day, plants that need to be watered) -Vet information and emergency contact info -Meal times and general schedule -How long can they be left alone -Home security info (what to do if an alarm is triggered and any necessary security codes)
A typical day
I like to walk dogs around calmer suburban neighborhoods and paths, but have no objection to walking on busy streets. I love playing fetch and tug-o-war. I try to keep playtime interesting and high energy for pups by including things like basic training.
