Hello! I am a very active individual who will absolutely spoil your pet. I am very assertive, caring, sweet, kind and will pamper your pet to the best of my ability. I work from home and am always here with the occasional meeting with a client, or running a quick errand. I am a giving type of person and a former full time school teacher who taught middle school for 5 years. I now work at home in the marketing field. So your pup will never be unattended and have me for company. I have cared for senior dogs, as well as very active dogs. I currently have a very sweet and energetic 1.5 year old border collie who I rescued last summer. She gets along with dogs of all kinds from fellow active young ones all the way to small senior dogs. She grew up with a senior cocker spaniel and is very gentle with the smaller and older dogs. Because I exercise her so much every day, not only will your pup have a play partner, but your pup will be able to participate in our many walks each day! We typically walk 5-7 times a day anywhere from 15-45 minutes at a time. I use positive reward system for my fur guests and have studies dog obedience at both J9s k9s, Zoom Room, as well as some private coaches. I use their methods every day with my own pup as well as our fur guests. This includes verbal rewards and praise by establishing boundaries and then praising them when they do the correct thing. A dog wants to please their owner and human, so establishing what to do correct and then praising them when they do it correctly enforces them to do the correct behavior again. Counter surfing and looking for food, will get a stirn "ah,ah,ah" so they know not to do it again. I use voice tone, body language and treats to reward my fur guests. On walks I have guests sit before crossing the street, and praise them when they go to the bathroom. If you pup likes, he/she may even be able to learn some tricks with my collie and I! We are recent proud graduates of J9's K9's Obedience 101 class! I am familiar with administering medicine oral with peanut putter and other treats, as well as eye care for dogs with Cherry Eye or Glaucoma. I can give baths if requested and regular exercise. If you like, I can take your pup on hikes and play fetch and other games. Your pet is sure to get lots of love and cuddles! They are welcome on the furniture and bed to cuddle up with at night if they so desire. Looking forward to meeting your pet!
