Pet care experience
Born and raised dog lover here! I grew up with three big dogs in the family and have my own fur daughter today. 9 years and counting my sweet hound/Shepard and I have been best of friends. Years back I started with dog walking apps and ended up with a private company in Brooklyn building amazing relationships with my dogs and clients before moving to New Rochelle. I now work at a dog daycare center and am in school for veterinary technician.. can you tell I’m obsessed? Ha! I want to fill all my time with animals. When I visit for walks, I really give the dog a chance to know me for a moment before just throwing their leash on. I never rush them out the door, this is supposed to be fun for them, not overwhelming. I don’t just walk dogs, I truly care for them. I help socialize them, aid in behavior modification with positive reinforcement training and overall, a whole lot of love. Your babies will be in great hands. I'm so happy I found Rebecca in the neighborhood since my regular dog walker has been out of town for work. Rebecca is friendly and professional. I didn't get to meet her beforehand and was nervous, but she sent me a lot of pictures to reassure me. She works at a local daycare and studying in school. The amount of knowledge she is able to provide on my dog's behavior and health is so helpful and an added plus! I wouldn't hesitate to hire Rebecca again. My dog is also always happy to see her!

Due to my dog being older and doesn’t love being around other dogs, not aggressive, just doesn’t love it. I would likely do more sitting than boarding, and of course walks and drop in visits mainly. My routine upon walking into any home, with a dog inside, is immediately getting low, kneeling to the ground and softening my voice to not appear as a threat. This usually goes over well as I let them sniff me, and before we know it we are best buds. I like to have treats on deck ready to positively reinforce good behavior, but I don’t get too carried away. Sometimes I feel just tons of affection as reinforcement are amazingly affective as well. Let me know of any concerns you have or boundaries you want me aware of.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, triggers, anxieties, or behaviors I need to account for. I do pride myself in my ability to gain the trust of shy/nervous dogs. I’m very patient with them so just let me know so I can act accordingly.
A typical day
I usually carry around a collapsible water bowl and bottle for hot days or long walks so your pup doesn’t dehydrate. Generally I let the dog decide the direction (so long as it’s safe) that we are going on the walk. It’s their time, I don’t have a preference on where we go. I just want them to have fun!

My week revolves around pet care. I am in school and have a part time job at a dog day care center though they work around my schedule generally so that I can better work around yours.
