From an early age, I spent summers on a farm with dogs, cats, cows, goats, sheep and horses. I've had animals in my life since, including in all climates from camping in the Vermont mountains to icy Michigan winters to Manhattan apartments and elevator buildings with doormen. Not only are they the best companions anyplace and anywhere, I have learned to care, pack for, feed and accommodate their needs so, their job as loving, happy companion never falters. I am the kind of human who will always have a dog by their side...sometimes 3 or 4! I would describe a stay with me as 'active' and a doggie zone. I track my steps with a Fitbit so, doggies come with me on several walks a day. Depending on what you may share with me that your lovehound prefers, I have access to a dog-friendly pool, a covered nature path and a shaded courtyard where dogs run free and often are seen with a tennis ball or two. Dog parks are ok; yet, we always seem to have more fun in our own pack finding our own spots to avoid the crowds. And for the older, more mature of our group, we also spend time just relaxing at home, especially midday when it's super hot.
