Love + nature time for your friend!
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Becki. I'm a pet-sitter because I absolutely love spending time with furry friends! Caring for pups is mutually beneficial – they give back as much love as I give them. Dogs make me laugh with all their silly quirks. I love how sensitive they are! My pup, Bandi, and I fell in love at first sight three years ago when we met at the Humane Society. Since then, we've spent hours upon hours wandering neighborhood parks, exploring hiking trails, camping, and getting outdoors as much as possible. We keep each other entertained, make each other laugh/bark, and comfort one another when we're anxious or lonely. I've been a lifelong canine lover. As a teen, I learned how to raise guide dogs through my 4-H program and successfully raised one from a puppy to an adult. I love spending time with all animals and especially appreciate the energy and affection that dogs bring into my life. I also work with humans, offering wellness groups and retreats for teens and women. Nurturing runs in my blood, and I find playing with dogs is a great way to balance the more complicated nature of working with humans. I don't currently offer pet sitting in my home and am looking forward to staying with pets in their homes. I’ve been wintering for the last 4 years on Maui and recently decided to make this magical island my new home and really enjoy the balance of exploring the upcountry forests and having long mellow beach days, especially with furry friends! The island is full of nature and trails, which is great for humans and canines alike, and I like to bring my furry friends out for exercise and socialization as much as feels good for them. When I stay with your dog I offer at least 1 long hike every other day while you’re away in addition to daily neighborhood walks, so when you return from your travels they’ll be well-exercised, nature nourished, and ready to spend some quality snuggle time with you.i also bring my friendly pup Bandi (who is also very gentle on homes) so your animal friends get the additional bonus of socializing during our stay. It’s important to schedule a meet and greet before hand to make sure our animal friends get along well. For scheduling walks, instead of the typical 30 minute walk I offer an hour + nature hike for your pup, which allows them to really get all their wiggles out and adequate time to soak up the rejuvenating nature around them while you are away. Please note, this website only allows for 30 min walks, which I don’t offer, so the price I advertise ($65) is for an hour + nature walk nearby.
Reviews
Becky exceeded our expectations in every way. The moment we met her and she met our dog, we felt the love and knew our dog was in good hands. From the great communication, to the great excursions she planned for our dog, to the great care she took of our place. She is our sitter of choice. ?
Becky was very thoughtful and caring with our animals and our home. She kept regular communication and pics of our furry family. It was so nice for us to go away and know they were in good hands.
Rebecca was amazing with our two dogs. We have a large German Shepherd Dog and a small mixed breed - and both dogs were immediately comfortable around Rebecca which is extremely important to us. She sent us photos, exercised the dogs and treated them as we do which helped us enjoy our time away. She really went above and beyond as a house sitter as well since we had some deliveries and a contractor she helped us with while we were gone. We will definitely have her housesit again!
Super easy to work with - and very trustworthy. Rebecca did a great job taking care of two high-maintenance dogs for an extended period of time. No easy feat.

I pay attention to your pet’s unique needs and make sure they have what they need in your home while you are away. For example, if they are sensitive to noise I’m careful about not playing music too loud and keeping doors and windows shut accordingly. I have a lot of training in how to support the humans nervous system and I’ve found it’s very similar for pets as well, since we are all animals.

Information Rebecca M. would like to know about your pet
First, I like to ask my clients about how their dog responds to meeting new people and animals. I find it helpful to let pups approach me first when we meet. I read their body language, and if they seem ready to play right away, we can get started. If they need some time to get to know me, I stay calm and quiet and let them interact with me as much or as little as they feel comfortable, reinforcing with treats and praise. I would also like to know about your pet’s: Special needs or preferences Activity levels Feeding schedule Leash requirements Behavior around children and other animals
A typical day
I respond quickly to my clients’ requests and provide frequent updates on how their furry friend is doing. I take the time to get to know all animals I care for so that I can anticipate their needs. I love getting outside with dogs and if your dog enjoys longer walks, I'll make sure to take them out on least one hike during our stay together. Spending time in nature is calming for all of us. And of course, I always make sure to provide lots of love to the pets I care for.
