Dog Walking and Drop-in Visits in Nottingham

Pet care experience

Covering Nottingham and surrounding areas, I pride myself on offering a friendly and professional service for you and your dog. I have 3 years experience walking and sitting dogs and have loved every minute of it! When you trust me with your dog, you can be sure that I will treat them with the same loving kindness that I do my own dog as I understand that our canine companions are irreplaceable family members so it can be difficult to leave them with a stranger. I am happy to provide assistance with your dogs training and socialisation and especially enjoy working with puppies and high energy dogs who need a big, off lead, romp around to come home happy. My own dog likes to come on our walks whenever possible and makes an ideal playmate for puppies and adult dogs who are in need of some social time with their own kind. Some dogs prefer their alone time though, so I’m happy for you to let me know whether your dog would prefer to be walked solo or as part of a small group. I use only positive and kind methods when handling dogs, and can also assist with general training such as recall and lose lead walking for puppies and dogs who are learning and haven't quite got the hang of it yet. - Car fitted with doggy seat belts and a boot guard for safe travel - I am Canine First Aid Trained - DBS checked - Fully insured - Completed “Understanding Canine Care and Behaviour” from the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training - Higher Diploma in Zoology I have availability to walk dogs full time. Group walks take place at lunch time or you can book solo walks/drop ins for the morning or later in the afternoon. I can occasionally do evening and weekend drop ins. I treat my client's homes with respect and leave everything the way I found it. I am comfortable giving food and medicine during the visit if required.

Rebecca was quick to respond to our initial enquiry, came to meet our pup the next day and agreed on the drop in visits. I was so happy with you ease of everything. Rebecca gave detailed visit information and photos. Our dog really seemed to like her too! Very happy and had piece of mind throughout our time away! Thanks Rebecca x

Very happy with the walk we had booked with Rebecca! Our dog is quite anxious and reactive, and Rebecca made sure to cater to our dog's needs, keep us updated with a photo and some videos and also gave a good overview of the walk. It was our first time using a dog walker and she definitely made us feel safe about leaving our dog with her! Thank you ☺️

Rebecca has been brilliant. She visited my 2 excitable staffies while I was away and managed to tire them out! I got home to 2 very happy and relaxed dogs. She stuck to the visiting time agreed, kept rover updated and sent photos and videos. I’m very confident leaving my dogs with Rebecca and won’t use anyone else now. Thanks Rebecca!

Rebecca was excellent. Dropped in for us while we were away. Haribo loved her from the start. Thank you Rebecca.

Safety, trust & environment

I am fully insured and canine first aid trained. When walking dogs, I always have my full attention on the dogs, am alert and thinking ahead to ensure the dogs in my care can't get themselves into mischief.

Information Rebecca M. would like to know about your pet

I have no preference as far as breed is concerned. The most important things for me to know before I take your dog are if they have any phobias, thing that make them nervous, reactivity or general health concerns so I can manage these things safely. It’s also good to have an idea of your dog's general likes, dislikes and quirks, along with any boundaries or training goals your dog has so I can be sure to keep things consistent while they are in my care.

A typical day

I try to make our walks mentally stimulating for the dogs so that everyone has a good time and returns tired but happy. This includes having a good tear around and varying the locations we visit to stop the walks from getting stale. My favourite places to walk around Nottingham are Gedling Country Park, Colwick Country Park and Colwick Woods. I always like finding new routes and small parks to visit closer to clients homes also, along with practising lead walking and general road sense on local streets if needed. I have a car full of toys to take out on walks including tennis balls, frisbees, squeaky toys, deflated footballs, ropes, boomer balls, chaser tugs and more for dogs who like a game and a proper run around. As many dogs like to get muddy, especially in the winter, I always keep a few big fluffy towels on hand so I can clean and dry them as best I can before returning.
