My husband and I both grew up with dogs and knew we needed one the moment we moved into a house! We have had our English Setter for 6 years and a cat for 9 years. They are both very mellow animals that have gotten along with all the cats and dogs that have come into our lives. We have been involved in the rescue world and had a foster failure a year ago, our Yorkie Jack! The backyard is fully fenced in and we are close to Lake Harriet so we have great access to walking trails and parks. We also have baby gates set up in our house since we like to keep our furry friends on the same level of the house as ourselves. We can keep a closer eye on them this way and make sure everything is going smoothly. Both of our dogs like to play but are also very content laying next to the couch while we watch the news. Our cat likes to do his own thing and does well with new critters in our home. Our dogs are both fully crate trained and are in their crates during the day. My husband and I both work full time during core business house (9am-5pm) but have the flexibility to drop by the house during lunch hour. With the dogs we have fostered, we are well versed in giving oral medication as well as eye/ear drops. We are set up to feed dogs in the am and pm, always supervised. Our Yorkie has special medicated food so we make sure all dogs stick to their own bowls! We'd love to have your dog call our place "home" for a few days or even a night! We are flexible and can give your dog as much exercise or relaxing time as they need.
