FLUENT IN DOG 🐶, and some CAT 🐈⬛
Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and can’t imagine not having them in my life and will treat your fur baby as my own, with lots of attention based on your requirements (feeding, medication, playtime, potty breaks, etc). I had the privilege of being a part of a rescue pups life for over 17 years and began utilizing dog sitters after noticing he would come home from kennels tired, thinner, and generally stressed. This was the best solution for him to be in his own environment and part of a loving household. When I returned from a trip, he was a much happier boy :-). Because of this experience, I am obviously partial to keeping pets in a home environment where they can receive more personalized attention. Pets elevate our well being and deserve the best possible care while we are away. I have many years of experience with my own pets and also as a Rover sitter (over 5 years!), as well as providing assistance with the pets of friends and family, and have unlimited love and patience to give them. The more tail wagging in my life, the better!
Reviews
I booked Rebecca to cat sit based on her good reviews. We met in person and she was very nice and seemed responsible. She was supposed to come check on our cats every other day for a total of 4 visits. Our first visit we received an update and photos. The second visit we received photos but no update. The third visit we received a text stating "all the kitties are well this afternoon" and then we received no update on our 4th visit at all. When we got home, our cats gravity feeder which normally lasts 2 weeks, and holds 2.5 lbs of food, was completely empty despite us filling it up prior to our departure a week ago. Additionally the cats litter box was fairly full (more than I'd expect from Saturday afternoon to Sunday). When I asked Rebecca if the cats had had food in their feeder on her 4th visit she said there was food in it and the cats must have been hungry. Even if the cats had managed to consume 2.5 lbs of dry food in the span of a week, I think it's inexcusable that she didn't fill up the feeder if she noticed it was running low. Additionally I'm disappointed by the lack of feedback we received from our visit and no photos for the final two visits.
Rebecca was very nice, communicative and great with my dog! She sent me updates and pictures everyday and even took him on to get him out of the house. Highly recommend!
Cats seemed happy when I got home after leaving them for five days with Rebecca. All was good. She finished their medication regimen for me. Would use again. She came before I left to see our routine
Rebecca was able to schedule me last minute due to an unexpected overnight trip. She communicated and sent photos of the pups each time she stopped by. She even brought our package inside. We definitely recommend Rebecca!

Safety, trust & environment
I always try to keep on the lookout for anything unusual in a clients home. Examples being an open door that was previously closed, unknown vehicles in a driveway, damage to the exterior or interior of them home, or anything that may be harmful to pet if they were to get into it. I will always message the client if anything is out of sorts and help them to resolve if necessary.
Information Rebecca K. would like to know about your pet
I want to know everything! The more I know about your pet's personality, eating habits, potty habits, favorite toys, etc., the better experience your pet will have. I do, however, request that your pups be up to date on their shots and be free of fleas (or on flea medication).
A typical day
Pets have differing personalities and some may prefer alone time, others may want to socialize with the neighborhood. Whatever your fur baby desires, I will do my best to accommodate, be it an endless game of fetch, constant belly rubs or just hanging out sniffing every blade of grass. I will always come prepared with doggy bags, bottled water, portable dog bowl and healthy treats to ensure your dog is well loved, secure, hydrated, spoiled, and will always leave your home better than I found it!

Availability
I primarily telework and accommodate most schedules. Monday and Wednesday are my in-office days but can usually drop in during morning and evening time periods.
