Our family owned a dog throughout my teenage years. We adopted him at the age of 8 and raised him to 19! I have been volunteering with the Dog Guides of Canada since 2015. I help out at their kennel and also dog sit their dogs on weekends. I follow requests for each dog carefully (I don't give them human food no matter how cute their puppy eyes are!) I enjoy playing with the dogs and even taking them out for day hikes when the weather is nice. There are a few dog parks that I can take dogs to with your permission (of course). I have experience administering oral dog pills if needed. I will allow dogs on the couch as long as they are allowed at home and only on my invitation to come up. I wouldn't want to undo any training they already learned for their home. My main goal is to assimilate their experience with me as closely to their training at home. I'm a morning person and my husband is a night person, so between the both of us someone will always be with your pup I pride my care for others with integrity. Being a dog owner in the past, I know how important it is for your dog to receive the care that they need when their routine and the love of their lives are not present. I do my best to make up for that void and make that transition as seamless as possible.
