Professional Pet Care Since 1996

Pet care experience

I had my own pet sitting business for many years before starting on Rover. I've been Licensed in the City of Flagstaff since 1996. " DOG BOARDING INFO" * I am open between 10am and 8pm for drop-off and pick-up. * A current Bordetella vaccine is required. * When it comes to puppies, I accept "Small Breed" Puppies only and Intact Males are allowed up to 9 months old. I can't accept Females in Heat. I'm a retired, single, dog-mom and I've been a "Professional" Pet Care provider for over 28 years. I have a background in animal rescue, and I've held various positions at Non-Profit Animal Welfare organizations here in Flagstaff. I competed in the sport of Dog Agility for more than 10 years, I've been a Trainer for 8 years. I have experience giving medications, injections and IV fluids. I am Certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through Pet Tech. Dogs should come with their own beds and food. I'll supply all the love, exercise and socializing. For your dog's safety which is my number one concern, I accept 2-3 dogs at a time so I can easily keep track of every dog and give every dog plenty of 1 on 1 attention. My 3 dogs and I treat every dog that comes here, as part of our family. They have the freedom to go out through the dog door if they want to go outside or they can hang out on the sofa; whatever makes them happy, while under my supervision of course. Dog sitting is my full-time job, so I'm at home all the time. If I leave the house, it's for very short periods of time. I make sure the dogs are safely confined anytime I'm away from the house. I remodeled my house and put in landscaping for the safety of my dogs. I have a 6 ft. fence all around the property with railroad ties sunk into the ground at the bottom of the fence and there's concrete beneath every gate. All gates are locked from inside. There's a fence around the front porch before the doors into the house. The dogs have access to the dog run through dog doors and there's a gate that keeps them out of the backyard unless I'm home and able to monitor them. There's a gate that separates the dog room to the kitchen, so I can feed dogs separately. I do offer a bath and blow dry for those dogs that are under 15 pounds. A Bath is $25.

Rebecca handled Missy's siesure eppisode very well even thought it was a new experience for her. I would highly recommend Rebecca for any fur baby. She has a perfect pet friendly home and is a loving "vacation" mommy for your pet.

Rebecca did a wonderful job taking care of our dog while we were gone for Spring Break! This was the first time we've boarded with her. She offered to meet with us in her home beforehand to see how Finn would do in her home with her dogs. That was really reassuring to us, as lately he's been more skiddish with other dogs he doesn't know. Rebecca is very knowledgeable and experienced with dogs. She was very good to ask several questions to get to know his personality and his routine. While we were gone, she would send us updates with pictures to let is know how he was doing. She was exceptionally in-tune to his needs, especially since it was his first time staying there and not fully comfortable sleeping in a new place. I appreciate her patience and TLC with his needs. It put my mind at ease knowing he was well taken care of.

About five weeks prior, Bella met with Rebecca before the actual date with assurance her dogs played well together. Driving up to leave Bella for the weekend, Bella was very excited and actually remembered the house. We felt comfortable departing and Rebecca mentioned she was a dog trainer for eight years. Fortunately, Rebecca had a one-year pug being dropped off, so it was a ton of play time for both. We would definitely use Rebecca again.

I was so nervous to leave my fur baby as it was my first time leaving her with someone other than family but Rebecca made us feel welcomed and safe! She invited us over to her home for a meet and greet and assured us we were in good hands. She and her fur babies were so kind and warm. Her home was comfortable and dog friendly/safe. She sent pics and videos as well. I will book with Rebecca again in the future without hesitation!

I have been a professional pet sitter since 1996 and a Dog Trainer since 2017. My dogs are my children and I would do anything to keep them safe and happy; they are the reason I get up in the morning. I extend that same mind-set to every dog in my care.

Information Rebecca F. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to interview (meet and greet) with perspective clients first, but it's not required. I want to be sure we're a good match and I have all the information I'm going to need to provide you the best service possible and to make sure your pet would do well in my home. I do require dogs staying at my house to have a current Bordetella vaccine. I accept dogs that are well socialized and well behaved. Dogs that are timid, shy or elderly and don't want to be bothered by other dogs can have their own living quarters with a separate potty area. I do allow "Small Breed" puppies only, and male puppies that are intact, up to 9 mo. old. I don't accept dogs that have ever shown aggression of any kind or fearfulness.

A typical day

I have a wonderful dog friendly home, with a huge backyard that's all grass and a big shade tree to keep the dogs and the grass cool during the summer months. There are dog doors for full time access to the dog run. I have agility equipment, balls, Frisbees and tug-toys for playtime; in the summer we pull out the doggie pool. I also live on a cul-de-sac on McMillan Mesa with the urban trail just steps from my house. There's Open Space behind us and a park on the corner. So, when the dogs need exercise, we can go hike the Urban Trail or I'll take the dogs over to the park to socialize and get lots of attention from the neighborhood kids. Dogs will sleep in the house, on their own beds or i can provide Dog beds. Dogs that come here often can sleep with me on my bed. My hours for conducting business are between 10am and 8pm only.
