I have owned dogs that I've adopted from rescues for 17 of my 26 years of life. My first job was at a large dog boarding facility in Pennsylvania where I was employed for 5 years, which provided me experience with dogs of all ages and breeds. The facility could easily host 300 dogs at one time with a full staff, especially during busy summer months. I currently foster dogs for a local rescue - Red Barn Rescue Pups in Clayton. This is the rescue that my 2 year old Border Collie/mix, Bear, came from a little over 2 years ago. Bear is extremely social and loves playing with other dogs, which is actually why I have been fostering dogs. Bear and I (along with our fosters) walk a minimum of 2-3 miles per day on paths around my neighborhood. We walk at least one mile at a time for 90% of our walks.
