Mary Poppins For Your Pets 👜🌂

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Rebecca! I *truly* believe animals are here as our teachers & spirit guides and deserve to be treated as the sacred beings that they are 😸 🐶 🐾 I'm animal CPR + First Aid certified (as of July 22nd, 2023 via Four Legged First Aid, a 4 hour in-person training in Austin), so you can feel confident your fur babies are extra safe with me! I’ve been taking care of family and friends’ pets for 20+ years and have two of my own—a 2.5 year old Lab mix + a 1 year old Mini Schnauzer. My dogs are my entire world and every animal I meet & care for is treated with the same affection, attentiveness, presence, respect, and consideration that my dogs receive. Your pets' safety and happiness are paramount. My goal is to create an stress-free, fun, and safe environment for your pets. Your and your animals' trust and comfort is *really* important to me. My personal philosophy around safety and trust is “better safe than sorry”. I do my best to over-communicate and err on the side of caution which means I will *strictly* follow my clients’ instructions.

Rebecca was proactive about finding out what we expected for dogsitting, and was conscientious about following our directions and going above and beyond them. She kept us updated with notes and photos while we were gone and was obviously taking great care of our dog. We came home to a happy, healthy dog and a tidy, cared-for house. We couldn’t ask for more!

Rebecca was absolutely spectacular watching over my three cats with their somewhat complicated handling requirements. I received very detailed updates, photos, and videos each day of the visit, and I could tell that she really did love spending time with the kitties. Having such diligent updates throughout the time of care was a huge relief while traveling, and I would definitely hire her again!

Rebecca was absolutely amazing! This was our first time using a pet sitter, and she went above and beyond during the meet and greet to make us feel assured our pets were in excellent hands. She was prompt and communicative during the scheduled visits, and as an added bonus, she’s a great photographer! She captured one of the best pictures ever taken of our camera-shy pup! Thank you, Rebecca!!!

Rebecca was so amazing! She was super flexible with some logistical issues we ran into and was on time for every visit. She provided so many photos and videos of my babies and was so excited to go see them each day. I would absolutely recommend Rebecca’s pet care services and I look forward to the opportunity to book with her again :)

Safety, trust & environment

Your home, your fur babies, your rules. Please communicate what you need and I'll happily adapt! If you can write down very specific instructions, even better!

Information Rebecca D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any specific needs, wants, triggers, etc. your animal has so I can tailor the experience to that. For instance, are they allowed to have a pup cup? Do they struggle with separation anxiety? Are they reactive on walks? Are they good with sharing toys? Do they struggle to sleep at night? The more info you give me, the better! I want to give them a stellar experience but want to be mindful of the measures you've taken for their diet, energy, training, etc.

A typical day

It's all about stimulation—physical, mental, and emotional. For days it's too hot to walk, we'll focus more on mental exercise via training, lick mats, and puzzle toys. On days where it's not so hot and we can go on walks, I like to focus more on allowing them to sniff rather than aiming for long distances because sniffing *will* tire a dog out and is known to help prevent doggy dementia, especially if it's a new environment with new smells. And of course there will be TONS of snuggles and kisses!
