Pet care experience
I am a certified veterinary assistant getting licensed as a veterinary technician and accepted to vet school. I have years of working in the veterinary field and connecting with animals. I currently work at the emergency room for animals, focused on nursing critical animals back to health. I am basic and advanced CPR certified, can give injectable, oral and topical medications. Can care for post-operative pets, healthy pets, hospice pets, and ill pets. I dedicate time during the week to assisting as a relief technician at the local spay and neuter clinic as well! I am working to be apart of every aspect of a pet’s life to be better equipped to care for each pet in their own unique way!

Rebecca has been pet sitting for me since 2022 and is very reliable and responsible. I have peace of mind when Rebecca cares for my pets, also because Rebecca is a Veterinary Technician. Last year while Rebecca was pet sitting for me she administered subcutaneous fluids to my cat in kidney failure. I also left her with my small kitten knowing that Rebecca had the skills and experience to pick up on any health issues if they were to occur. Normally, I don't have pets in need of extra care, but having a pet sitter who is also skilled as a Veterinary Technician gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend Rebecca as a pet sitter!!!
Rebecca is a very reliable sitter. She sent me daily updates on my critters with pictures. She kept me in the loop with how they were doing and if there were any concerns. Rebecca was also able to medicate my cat with no issues. I felt like I could trust her with my pets while I was out of town. Would definitely recommend her services!

When I sit for my parents I am in charge of two dogs (one a hospice patient) and two reptiles. I am able to offer attention and affection and care. I can give medications as well. I am able to recognize when animals are not feeling well and will always make sure their needs are met. When I care for pets at their home, I try my best to do everything you would do with them! If they like the dog park, then to the dog park we go! If they like to watch the tv, then I will be happy to hang out with them on the couch! If there is any special things or routines they enjoy, I would love to keep those up while I take care of your pets!

Please let me know ahead of time any medical concerns or behavioral concerns (like any triggers to fireworks/thunder, men or kids, other dogs or animals). I am able to give medications but I would like to be prepared. In case of emergencies, I am CPR certified ( I do have my certifications available to see). I also would like to know the routine that works for them so I keep them on their usual schedule.
A typical day
I enjoy playing with animals if they are looking for playtime or if they want to be lazy and cuddle I am fine doing that as well! I can take dogs on walks or to the dog park you would like! I like to give each pet attention so they don’t feel like they are missing out on anything! I love when they have a toy they enjoy playing with so I can interact with them on a level they feel most at ease with.

Availability
I work full time on weekend nights and Monday nights. I am available through the week and during the day on weekends. I usually do not travel either. I am always punctual and make time to take care of any animal who needs me!
