YOUR DOG'S SAFE VACATION HOME!
Pet care experience
I have been so fortunate to have such a wonderful client base. Your dogs have become part of our small family and we love them all. I welcome all new dogs to become a part of our extended family as well. Your dog(s) will be pampered, loved and cared for by 2 surrogate parents! My husband Billy and I enjoy providing exclusive care. We do not work outside of the home, so your dog(s) will always be with someone. Here's my disclaimer: I cannot be responsible for spoiling your dog. That's just what we do! For more information and to see what my life with dogs is really like, please visit my Rebecca At Rover.com public page on Facebook. You will see my photos and videos of my sits, as well as informative information and fun facts! My house is all about peace and is drama free. I give exclusive care by mimicking your care at home. During our meet & greet, you will be required to complete a detailed questionnaire with me so that I may provide your dog(s) with the very best of care. I will sit up to 4 dogs at a time if they are from the same household. Any dogs not from the same household (i.e. there is crossover with drop off/pick up times) will be kept in a separate part of the house, being taken care of exclusively too by my husband and now full time partner Billy! In that case, we switch back and forth so we can both enjoy the dogs visiting. I have had several dogs, small and large in the past (Beagle, Yorkie, Black Lab, Aussie, Rottweiler), but none since relocating from New Jersey to Texas. I would love to care for your dog! Your dog will have plenty of exercise running in our huge, enclosed yard and treated specifically based on your instructions. We have a bed and a bowl of water in every room for the dogs. If they choose to sleep in our bedroom with us, that's fine too! We do not believe in allowing dogs to sleep outside. We have no children and no pets; just us 2. Let us care for your pups! About this sitter: I am patient. I do not believe in corporal punishment, so please do not even ask me to physically discipline your dog, even a swat on the nose for an accident. It's just not going to happen. I am experienced in administering medication by pill, liquid or injection. I am also skilled at caring for dogs with debilitating illnesses such as cancer & diabetes, those who have had strokes, blind dogs, deaf dogs and physically disabled dogs who need to be carried. Basically, I will sit for the dogs that most kennels and sitters will not take. Why I love dog sitting: I think I love dogs more than most people I know. They are capable of so much and I enjoy sharing those experiences with every dog I sit for. The emotional connections developed, especially when they become my regulars, are just so amazing! They provide love and comfort and laughter and will bring you to tears. The dogs with cancer who wake up in the middle of the night in pain and the best you can do is just to hold and comfort them. The dogs with diabetes who have to have their insulin shots every 12 hours, so you set your alarm at 11:55 PM to get up to prepare the syringe and administer the medication. The dogs who are staying with us for the very first time who are missing home and have to be distracted with whatever silly thing you have to do to make them happy. The blind dog who has to be watched every single minute so she won't injure herself, so we rearrange the house just for her visit. Or remembering that older dogs aren't necessarily ignoring your commands and perhaps they are hard of hearing, so you work with that. As a true dog lover, we alter our lives to fit whatever need the dogs we sit for have. And I love it! I wish I had realized that earlier in my life. No pets of our own. See more photos/videos on Facebook at: Rebecca at rover.com! About my yard My backyard is approximately 1/2 acre. It is completely fenced in. However, my husband Billy or myself will be outside with your dog at all times. I do not believe in letting a dog out and leaving them out there unsupervised. During these hot months, we have a kiddie pool, just in case some of my dog clients want to cool off. My experience administering medication I have experience with medication in pill and liquid form. I am also experienced in administering injections. Both Billy and I are at home and we do not work outside of the home. We will be with your dog during their entire stay. We don't crate dogs unless the owner specifies that they want their pet crated at the Meet & Greet. In our home we believe in allowing pets to be free, going wherever we go. They are never alone.
Reviews
Rebecca and her husband treated my pup to a VACATION. My pup is grateful for dog lovers like them.
OMG! Let me start by saying Mrs. Rebecca and Mr. Billy are the best dog sitters ever. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so very much for taking care of Bailey while I was on vacation. You two made my entire vacation so relaxing and enjoyable knowing that my babe was taken care of as if he was your own. The pictures sent each and every day made my days brighter. I can’t express to you how much I appreciated the care given by you and Mr. Billy and so much love given to him. If I could give you 10 stars I would. I will for sure use you in the near future if not in the next few months. Your home was so dog friendly and your yard was so huge, Bailey really enjoyed being able to run and play in such beautiful space. Thank you again for taking care of my babe Bailey.
Rebecca is a very attentive and great pet sitter! Bella enjoyed her stay and will definitely be coming back in the future. Rebecca was also very flexible as my travel plans changed which I really appreciated. Her attention to detail is unmatched compared to other sitters. All around she is a great host and your pup will be in great hands!
Always takes good care of our Twix during our family vacations.

Safety, trust & environment
As overnight dog sitters, we always require a Meet & Greet. When clients come to our home, there is an extensive questionnaire that they will fill out. This enables us to give their dogs the same care here as they receive at home. However, we do not believe in corporal punishment, so if you expect us to physically discipline your dog, we are not the sitters for you.

Information Rebecca D. would like to know about your pet
I require a Meet & Greet prior to any new dog's stay. We have no breed preference. We would like to know if your pet is current on their vaccinations, if there is a history of biting and if your pet is good with children, since I have nieces and nephews who visit me. If your dog is not good with children, I will make sure that I don't bring any around them. I will sit up to 4 dogs if they are from the same household. But always send your request through; I may be able to work things out.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks No need to take walks! Our backyard is 1/2 acre, where there is plenty of room to run and explore. Your dog will encounter many different creatures to chase. We have squirrels, rabbits, birds and even butterfly colonies! My yard is completely fenced in, allowing your dog to experience nature in a protected setting. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep according to your direction. However, if you don't care, we don't care. They can sleep on the furniture and if they prefer to sleep in the bed with us, that's fine too! Time I'll spend with your dog Your dog will be by my side all day and will go wherever I go, unless I leave my house to attend religious services on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evening, at which time, they will be left no longer than 2 1/2 hours.
