Vacation with Marvelous Mutts!
Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Rebecca. I grew up with dogs -- training them, feeding them, walking and exercising them. They were part of my family, during some of the most pivotal years of my life, and I am grateful for every second I got to spend with them. I can't wait to spend time with your dog too! You and your dog will love me because I love getting down on the dog's level. It's important to establish and build a relationship with them, and that's my promise to both of you. I understand dog body language and know exactly how to approach a dog to make them feel comfortable. Your pup's safety and comfort will be my top priority. I'm very used to introducing myself to dogs and making them comfortable because I have extensive experience working in animal shelters. My job was to give each dog at the shelter attention and playtime so they knew they weren't alone in the world. I pride myself in quality care and treating each dog like the individual they are! I decided to start Marvelous Mutts through Rover because although I can't have a dog of my own right now, I still want and need to be around them. Leave your dog(s) with Marvelous Mutts and they'll be treated like one of my own. Long walks, trips to the dog park, dietary needs met, plus tons of play and cuddle time! Potty-trained pups preferred! Please note that I generally only watch one dog at a time, as I like to give each pup my full attention. Exceptions can be made, of course! I'd love to set up a meet and greet and get to know you and your furry friend! Please feel free to reach out to me with questions, I can't wait to meet both of you!
Reviews
Rebecca and her daughter took incredible care of my dog, Cowboy, while I was away for work. She sent updates (and photos) throughout the day so I could see that he was having a good time and she made drop off and pickup effortless. I will definitely be using Rebecca to look after Cowboy again!
We always come home to a happy dog! Rebecca does a great job making Zelda feel like family
Rebecca is amazing! She took such great care of our Barkley. She sent us pictures daily, which was wonderful.
Always a pleasure!

Your pet's safety is my number one priority when they are with me. I do not have a fenced yard, but have ample safe grassy areas for walks, with minimal to no interaction with other dogs if needed. I want you to feel at ease when your pet is with me, so you can go about your time away without any feelings of worry or guilt. When your dog is with my family, they are a part of it.

Information Rebecca D. would like to know about your pet
Does your pup have any health issues? Is your pup on meds? What are their wakeup and bed times? Where do they sleep? What is their meal schedule and routine? How do you treat your pups (what kind, for what behavior) and how often? How many walks a day? How does your pup let you know that they 'gotta go'? How do you reward them for good behavior? How do you reprimand them for bad behavior? Anything you are working on with them at the time they're staying with me? Consistency is key in training! How do you get them to come to you?
A typical day
You can expect the utmost luxury for your pet when they stay with me. A plush dog bed (with pillows and blanket) of their very own, a constantly cycling water fountain to keep them hydrated, walks as often (and as lengthy) as needed, bathing/grooming if desired, a box full of toys just for them. I have bowls, leashes, potty training pads, treats, bathing/grooming gear, both a pocket and full-size dog first aid kit, as well a disaster kit (in case of inclement weather, evacuation, etc). I will treat and love on them like they're my own, because I just love them all!

I am a stay at home mom to a sweet, active 3 year old girl named Twila Mae. She has grown up around animals, and has been a dog magnet since she was a baby. Twila Mae will obviously occupy my time, but that doesn't mean that your dog won't be involved as well! Whether it's a walk on the rail trail, or snuggling on the couch to read a book, your pet will be included in our family as much (or as little) as they want and need.
