Pet care experience
Hello! I've helped train 6 puppies and helped with dedicated senior care on two of my own dogs. I grew up in a house with a dog from birth to college and actively helped take care of them. Since 2006 when I graduated college I have had two dogs and each have solely relied on me for their care including health problems, surgery healing, etc. I love dogs. I do a double take each time I pass one in any neighborhood. I'd love to make your pet feel loved and cared for when their favorite person (you!) is away from home.
Reviews
Rebecca was professional and kind from our first interactions on Rover, to our live meet and greet, go during her boarding of our geriatric dog. Rebecca sent periodic updates and pictures which were wonderful to receive while away from our dog. We will definitely engage Rebecca’s care taking again.
Rebecca is a very responsible and caring person who took excellent care of our doggy. Very communicative and easy to work with!
Rebecca is a dog lover and owner. She really connects with her own dog and loves to interact with her own brown eyed furry little friend. She owned her first black lab, Rogue, through high school and college. The dog was a constant companion and friend. After more than a decade, she then transitioned to Tannin. The two dogs are family. She has provided excellent care for them and lots of love. I would trust her with my own little puppy without hesitation.
I highly recommend Rebecca caring for your dog. She is responsible, kind and caring. I've seen first-hand how she treats her own dog and has given my dog that same caring and attention. She treats each animal as if it was her own, providing love, attention and exercise. She is respectful of your pets' needs; whether it's a walk, cuddling or giving an extra snack/meal if needed.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets by putting the pet first. I live alone in a two-story townhome. In my home I do not leave anything dangerous down and no food ever can be left down due to my own food-hound. Trash is covered and frequently dumped to avoid trash calamity. A bench at the bottom of my bed with a rug under it ensures safe jumps from floor to bed. Rugs downstairs make the living room more comfortable for pups. I can lift dogs in and out of cars when required (as I do for my own sweet girl). Walks employ harnesses to safeguard throats and tracheas. I have pet gates to isolate pets if owners require them to be for their safety or healing. I'd speak to owners about acceptable treats and food schedule.

Information Rebecca C. would like to know about your pet
Whether they are potty trained! hahaha What their specific temptations and eccentricities are. What comforts them the most when mom and dad are gone. What is good for them to eat and what is off limits for them specifically - I want to respect dog allergies and food needs. What their special needs might be - my own sweet girl hurt her Achilles tendon in 2020 so I'm very familiar with understanding physical limitations in times of healing. The more communication from the pet parent on what the fur baby needs the better.
A typical day
I like to take Tannin on little day adventures (Bradbury Mountain, Higgins Beach, Wiggly Bridge) but I would never do that with a dog I was sitting unless their pet-parent and I had discussed in advance. Locally Tannin and I like to walk in our Sunset Park neighborhood and other areas in Scarborough near my office.

Availability
I'm available for boarding pets on almost every weekend and am confident I can be flexible for all the other weekdays pending the specific situation and pet. Please note I currently have a senior dog who is very sweet and friendly to all dogs and she will be present at all times. Because I'm not sure how well she does with cats I am happy to offer drop-in and housesitting services for cats but am not certain about boarding for cats at this time.
