Pet care experience
I'm a dog lover through and through! My own beloved rescue pup passed at age fourteen and a half last Spring. I did a lot of special training and medical care for her and became a resource for friends and acquaintances who have dogs and need help navigating training and health issues. I'm not ready to adopt another dog yet but miss wonderful dog energy. I would love to help walk and care for your dog. I'm a very outdoorsy person, happy to walk through any weather, and I have a big fenced in yard that's a big hit with dogs.

I have a wonderful fenced in yard and . I live in a safe friendly neighborhood and there are great dog-walking places around. I am between Brookline (most of the time in the winter and spring) and Wellfleet (summer and into Fall and some winter and spring holidays) and able to do sitting and dog walks in either or both places. I adjust my location on my profile to show where I am. Both places are well equipped for dog care including fenced in yards, dog beds and blankets and plenty of toys! Thanks!

I am happy to walk and care for dogs that are house trained, fairly quiet, and friendly with people and other dogs. I can walk very small dogs regardless of leash training. Very well trained (no pulling on the leash) medium and large size dogs are welcome. Real young puppies are welcome to hang out for a few hours or a day. Drop offs and pickups, texts and photos Sunday through Friday, sunset. (Friday night and Saturday dog care only for dogs already with me). I like to meet any dog I will be caring for to make sure we like each other and I am able to offer your dog the care they need.
A typical day
We can hang out and play in the yard, take walks full of interesting sights and smells, and go for swims nearby. What we do together will depend on you and your dog's wishes! In Wellfleet we could play in the fenced in yard, walk around town, a marsh, and/or go to a local beach! In Brookline we could spend time playing in my big fenced in back yard, walk the local streets and maybe go to a park. Plenty of attention and care available wherever we are!

Availability
I teach part-time (I'm a teaching naturalist/teaching artist and yoga instructor) , make art and write. I love having dogs around when I am not teaching. Especially if they like to go for walks, swims, hang out outdoors.
