Pet care experience
Hi guys! I’m a veterinary receptionist looking to have more hands on experience with dogs (and potentially cats!) I have one dog of my own that I absolutely adore but that doesn’t mean I can’t adore yours! I’m open to do walks to any place of preference per the dogs owner (trails, dog parks, beaches, etc), and doing daily drop ins on pets to assure they use the bathroom and have somebody to play with! I’ve dog sat for friends prior and absolutely loved it, the longest I’ve dog sat was for a month when my friend went to Europe with her husband (I was an in-house sitter, I spent most of my days at their house before/after work/overnight); in some cases I’ve brought my dog with me and let them play together and maintain a friendship after the dog sitting! Right now my house isn’t set up to where I can house dogs other than my own for extended periods of time but soon I will be able to. That’s a little bit about me and what I’m open too and have experience with; I hope to talk to you soon :-)

We are Ravens neighbors and we have a pretty busy schedule that makes each of us (me and my wife) have to stay at the office as late as 10:00pm. When we do our early morning walks we see Raven and Cash, and our dog, Charlie, absolutely ADORES them, it’s so hard to get him back focused once he sees them! We asked raven if she would be okay with taking Charlie on her walks with cash in the evening and she agreed with no hesitation. She takes him out every other day at 6:30pm, and 9:30pm. She’s never let us down or missed a walk and left Charlie; we’ve even caught her taking him out at other times with Cash just to play and run around. We absolutely love her and sure you will too.

The only thing I have always been taught to know is if the dog has a history of aggression or a history of abuse because that does change the initial interaction you have with the dog. My dog was previously abused so he’s extremely timid and doesn’t like people very much. So I feel like that’s a good thing to know about any dog I will come in contact with. I don’t have any breed preferences however! I’ve loved every dog I’ve encountered.
A typical day
I’m a Berkeley native so I will go to a lot of dog parks there for more active dogs, or just stroll Berkeley streets for a casual calm walk. For dogs that really love being outside we can go on some of the trails in Berkeley.
