I grew up in a house with 5 german sheperds and a maltese terrier. When I was finally old enough to move out on my own, my parents did not want to let go of any of their dogs so I was left dogless for the first time in my life. As luck would have it though, I found a stray special needs dog wandering on the side of the road and he quickly became my favorite person (yes dogs are people) in the world. I understand how important it is for dogs to get the love and attention they deserve, but I also understand that sometimes it's difficult to provide all of that attention when you work full time or travel.
