Pet care experience
I owned my first dog when I was 12 years old. She taught me more about myself than any other person or experience had. I am a huge believer that dogs each have their own personalities, which we need to respect. I love how small dogs can be mighty fighters and how big dogs are giant cuddle bugs. My greatest joy is earning a dog's trust and befriending them. If your dogs want to go for a walk or just hang out on the couch, I'm game. I am now a mom of 4 XL fluffy boys. Our favorite activity in Kanab is exploring the trails and BLM around us. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am happy to get to know more pups.

Rapha is the dog person to call in Kanab. I am a local dog person who is extremely picky about who cares for my (not easy) huskies. They love her dearly and so do I. Both consider her to be family and are relaxed and happy when I return. They are clear about their displeasure when she leaves! Rapha absolutely knows and loves dogs. She even fosters beyond caring for her own pups. She is a true and experienced professional when it comes to honesty, communication and dog care. On her first visit, Rapha found a cut on my dog’s paw (previous injury) and took a picture of it to be sure I’d seen it. She’s an awesome people person too! I will be a repeat customer until the day I leave Kanab and likely, even after that!
Rapha took great care of our little guy! Andy is senior, but Rapha got him to walk and play and kept us well-informed as to his care. When Andy got to see her again, he wanted to again play with her which tells us he liked the overall experience a great deal. We will definitely try to use Rapha's services again when we are out of town.
Rapha was great, very communicative, and Lady loved her immediately.

I never leave dogs unattended even in a fenced yard just in case. I Always check crates are fully locked and latched for escape artists before I leave a home and make sure there isn’t anything tempting or dangerous left behind.
Information Rapha Z. would like to know about your pet
No particular breed preferences. I'd like to know about the dog's temperament and routine as much as possible. I'm not concerned about dogs who are shy, but I need to know anything they don't like upfront. Unfortunately, I cannot work with dogs who have anything contagious that I might carry back home.
A typical day
I love the outdoors so I'd love to take a canine friend to the park or for a nice hike! We could also hang out at their home, play in their yard if available or do some enrichment indoors.

I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I can tweak my hours as early or late as needed and can also work from client’s homes if you prefer I hang with your dog.
