Pet care experience
I’m a freelance theatre artist local to South Philadelphia, originally from South Jersey. Caring for animals has always been something I love, and I’m grateful to be able to make it a part of the hustle! I currently work in arts admin, but have spent a number of years working in a dog day care and as a walker/sitter. At home, I have a cat named Charlie who is my favorite thing in the world! Growing up, we had a menagerie of family pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and horses. I take pride in being very professional, punctual, and compassionate as I prioritize your fur baby’s happiness and safety! I can’t wait to go on some adventures with your four legged family member.
Reviews
Randi watched our dog and three cats and did an incredible job! We got a lovely video of their weekend with Randi and it was clear all of our animals loved their time with her. Would absolutely have her pet sit for us again anytime!
Randi was great! We needed someone last minute to watch our pup for the day and she was there for us. Provided updates with pictures and was very accommodating.
Randi is the best sitter - I always know Veevee my 7 years old cat is going to be in good hands when she is being cared for by Randi! She makes sure Veevee is comfortable and happy which in turn allows me to enjoy my vacation. I highly recommend Randi for your sitting needs.
Our Daisy loves Randi, and I never have to worry about her when we're away which makes our travel much more carefree. She communicates when she arrives and send updates on our girl throughout stays. Can't ask for more.

Safety, trust & environment
I have years of experience in putting your pet’s safety first! I’ll always ask about any special quirks or potential hazards you know they like to get into. I’m always alert and attentive during both playtime and even when we’re just relaxing. We all know our pets get up to no good when it’s too quiet! Proper door etiquette for both dog and walker are important to me as a safety tool, as well as utilizing crates as safe spaces and never as punishment. I always work to reinforce a good sit, stay, and wait- even if your dog isn’t a pro at it yet. www dot randialexishickey dot com /petcare
Information Randi H. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting any pet, it is useful to know about their disposition. Are they outgoing or do they need time to warm up? Do they have any behavioral quirks? How do they react to other dogs or strangers? Are there specific medical conditions or dietary needs I should be aware of?
A typical day
Your dog will enjoy nice long walks, which are nice exercise for both me and them! I love walking the city and finding new coffee shops to try out. I tend to avoid dog parks and other areas that can be dangerous environments for dogs that I don’t know very well. Stephen Girard park is a local favorite of mine, as it’s usually quiet and has lots of green space!

Availability
I typically work 10am-5pm on weekdays, and I’d love to be your evening walker or weekend buddy! A few times per year I switch over to a 12pm-9pm schedule when I’m running a show, but otherwise my daily routine is pretty consistent.
