I have recently graduated from college and have had a lifelong love for dogs. I have cared for dogs at different periods of my life, of various sizes and temperaments, and I have volunteered at an animal shelter called “Animal Care Centers of NYC.” There, I walked dogs along a walk route and socialized with them, with special care and consideration made in handling them, and a strict adherence to proper procedure. I have performed well walking dogs, even with dogs that are particularly unruly and strong, and have a love and passion for the dogs there. From my experience at "Ruby & Jack's Doggy Shack," I have encountered and fostered a relationship with over 100 dogs, some of which became close friends. I have monitored the activity of many dogs in a single space and maintained a clean and safe environment; intervening and breaking up contact between dogs when necessary. I also transported dogs to and from my workplace by walking or using a van when necessary, and cared for cats and dogs in unsupervised apartments.
