My name is Rainey. I'm 36, an avid runner, and I love all dogs. My partner and i live in a 2 bedroom home in Bernal Heights and love welcoming dogs. By default, we only accept bookings from one household at a time. This means your dog(s) will get exclusive attention, and it's especially great for nervous dogs who might not get along with others. High energy dogs are welcome! I'm happy to offer long walks, on-leash running, trips to the dog park for fetch and socializing (if that is already in your dog's routine), and hikes, depending on the dog's needs and interests. You'll come back home to find your high-energy dog happy and tired. Low energy dogs will also find a low key environment where they can relax. One of our regular overnight guests is a bulldog with hip issues, and we ensure he's snug, cared for, doesn't overextend himself, and gets all his medications. I have many years of experience working with dogs, including dogs with issues like separation anxiety and leash aggression. I previously served as a foster for the Oakland Animal Shelter, and it was deeply fulfilling, wonderful work. I also adopted a wonderful lab/pit mix in college who passed away a few years ago. We do not have a dog at this time. FOR DOG BOARDING: I work from home full-time, and the dog stays with me all day. FOR HOUSE SITTING: I am happy to watch over your house and pups while you are gone. I can water plants, take care of chickens, goats and horses, and pick up your mail. Please note that if you'd like me to stay more than a couple nights I would need access to a kitchen and laundry -- which I will happily leave clean and tidy for your return.
