I am 26y/o young woman who loves animals. I have always been really good with animals because I gain their trust very easily and I love them no matter what. In the past I have watched pets for family and friends, and they have been paid jobs. I usually start with $15/hr, but weekends and over night stays are negotiable. I really just love to be around animals and I enjoy their existence. I'd rather be hanging with and taking care of animals all day than working at a fast food place. I'm not much of a morning person, but if I know I have an animal to take care of, then I'll be up at the crack of dawn or earlier. I can stay over night at your home if needed. I have cared for dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, bearded dragons, and small birds. Some dog breeds I have watched before were Poodles, Shiba Inu, German Shepard, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, Blue/Red Heelers, Australian Shepards, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, and alot of mixes/mutts, and the cats I have watched before were all rescues so they were mostly Tabby's and mixes also. In 2017 my sister and I had rescued 2 red ear slider turtles off the street and cared for them until we found loving homes for them. My sis and I acquired a parakeet in December of 2017 from a senior home that was neglecting him, so now he's in a loving home with us and he loves messing with my dog and cuddles with her too, we named him Dimitri because the senior home thought he was a girl and had named him Anastasia (unfortunate update is that my birdie boy has now since passed a couple of months ago due to old age and past neglect in his early life). My dog Halley is a Lab/Heeler mix but is basically a miniature Lab and she's the sweetest and "goodest" girl you'll ever meet. We also recently rescued another parakeet, my sis named him Apollo, from a Petco...he was "surrendered" to them with his cage, food, and toys, and we just had to pay an adoption fee of $20. He's now been talking and makes kissy noises when he wants attention and he's almost saying "pretty bird", and he's helped Dimitri come out of his shell and act more like a regular paraket. In December of 2020 I rescued my other dog, Xena who's a Lab/Pit mix. Her owners literally neglected and ignored her by leaving her in their gross backyard that was literally just a junk yard. They weren't even feeding her...my aunt was feeding her over the fence. So we asked if they even wanted her and they said no and literally just gave her to us. No collar, no toys, nothing with her. Now she's the sweetest and most loving girl, you can tell she just wants to show her love and I'm glad we could give her that home and opportunity to be the best girl she can be.
