Pet care experience
Hi everyone! My name is Rachelle (ruh-SHELL). I grew up in southern California with golden retrievers, black labs, and a cat. My first real pet sitting job was when I was 12 and looked after my neighbor's cat for weeks at a time. I became my neighborhood go-to pet/house sitter and haven't stopped. I am still the go-to sitter for my friend's chocolate lab every spring/fall break (he's a teacher). We had our goldens from puppy to geriatric/blind seniors, so I am comfortable with all stages of potty-trained life for dogs and cats. I sit for my friends' 4 rescue cats, one of which has some trust issues, so I understand how to treat animals of all levels of comfort.

Like every other pet owner here, I love my dogs (1 is a spunky 2 year old golden doodle and the other is a 13 year old grumpy Boston terrier) so much and get real anxious about leaving them, but from the moment I met up with Rachelle, I knew my babies were in good hands. She is punctual, clean, reliable, independent, and overall a great person. From day one she always had the best interest for my dogs and made sure they were so well taken care of. She sent lots of pictures and updates. I know my dogs enjoyed her company as well and were comfortable with her. The house was very clean and was left just like how we left it. We even had a late flight coming back and without question she stayed until we came back to make sure the dogs will be okay. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. I would recommend Rachelle to anybody needing a great house sitter and dog lover! Thank you so much!
We are super glad we had Rachelle stay with our cats for a few days! She was super reliable and sent lots of pictures and updates! We came home to a clean house and a bottle of rosé. It was so thoughtful! We would 100% ask her to house sit again!

I am also an amateur photographer and love to take pictures of the pets I watch to send to you. Please just let me know of any specific characteristics or behaviors of the dog that may be of importance. So if your dog is not good with children or other dogs, let me know and I will plan accordingly. I love to know any specific attributes about a dog I will be caring for before I meet them (:
Information Rachelle G. would like to know about your pet
I have experience watching dogs (and cats) that don't always get along with others or are rescues suffering from PTSD. I would just ask that you disclose any behavior quirks or issues so I can make sure your dogs are as comfortable as when you're home. I also love to know what their favorite forms of affection are. Do they love butt scratches? Endless games of peek-a-boo? Any dietary/treat restrictions?
A typical day
I love to go on walks and expose my dogs to new sights and smells. I really enjoy taking my dogs to parks where we can walk and then sit on the grass and people-watch together. I take my senior dogs on less strenuous walks that will still allow them to get much needed exercise. I can take the dogs on any kind of walk the owners ask me to! I also love to play with the dogs, especially fetch/catch. I can throw a ball/toy around as long as their energy will allow.

Availability
I currently live in a house with roommates and we aren't allowed pets of any kind, so I love to pet sit as often as possible because, well, who doesn't need the unconditional love of a fur baby? I work full time in Salt Lake, but have an extremely flexible schedule and can work from home when pet sitting if that works best. I am also completely available most holidays, so please feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to watch your pets for the holidays!
