Pet care experience
I have grown up around dogs and cats and foster cats and kittens. I've had over 100 cats and kittens travel through my home - all going to a loving forever home. I also have a pocket-sized pitbull mix. She's 11 and the sweetest ever. She loves meeting new friends and is in love with one of our cats. I am mostly home for holidays. I am mostly available for drop in visits, and I specialize in cats. While I am available for house sitting and can spend a chunk of time in your home, I don’t usually accept bookings with an overnight stay required, with some exceptions. Please contact me if you have any questions about what I can offer! I also have experience with farm animals and exotics, specifically goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, and reptiles. Please let me know how I can help at all. Bonus: I have an in ground pool at my house, and I am the primary caretaker of it. If you’d like me to keep an eye on your pool while you’re gone, let me know. I can test chemicals, skim, vacuum, and help make sure no problems arise while you’re gone.

Rachel was wonderful with our cats. She stopped by to meet them before we left town and all of them came to greet her including our super shy boy. She updated us on how they were and sent us pictures while we were away. She even brought in our mail and packages. The kitties loved her! We will definitely be rebooking with Rachel in the future.
Rachel was super responsive and took great pictures of my dog enjoying her company. Would definitely recommend her to any one jay I know with a pet!

I have a fenced yard and an in ground pool in my backyard, however the front yard is also fenced if your dog isn’t used to/doesn’t know pool safety rules. We have two separate backyards - one with the pool, and then another one behind the pool that is fenced and great for running around. Dogs here can lay on the couch, in beds, spend time outside, and pretty much have free roam while I’m home. My own dog is crated when I’m not home. Any dogs that visit would have to be cat friendly.

I am a foster for a local shelter, and have experience with injectable meds and oral meds. I’m used to feeding many different foods and keeping cats/dogs separate while eating. It would be great to know if your dog/cat has any triggers, is food aggressive or wary of new people.
A typical day
Because I work from home, the ideal dog visitors would be relaxed and not super high energy. I can also take care of cats - just ask!
