Ever since I started living with my roommate's dog a few years ago, I fell in love with caring for sweet pups! Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their dogs. I have cared for dozens of dogs overnight, up to a full week at a time. I'm reliable, responsible, communicative, attentive, engaging, and I have so much dog love to give! My professional background is in social work + education and I bring the same level of compassion and encouragement to dogs that I do when working with young people. Just like kids thrive with routine and positive reinforcement, so do our furry friends.

Rachel was awesome! This was our first time leaving our dog with someone out of our family and Rachel made it stress free. She was very accommodating with meeting us in advance so we would be comfortable and Mazie would get to know her. We got the perfect amount (a lot!) of pictures and videos of Maxie’s “vacation” and we saw she was getting top notch care. Plenty of belly rubs, treats, tug-of-war matches, and blankety tuck-ins! We will definitely be using her in the future as Mazie loves her new friend!
Rachel is amongst the most caring and patient people I known. And this very much extends to the way she cares for pets. I have witnessed her consistently treat pets with kindness and respect while making sure their safety is always the priority when caring for them. She will continue to be an incredibly caregiver for any pets she interacts with through Rover.
Rachel is the best! I was really anxious about leaving my injured puppy, and Rachel put me at ease immediately. Not only did she take great care of my puppy, but she went above and beyond to give me, a first time dog owner, lots of helpful tips and tricks. She was super gentle with my injured puppy and gave her so much love and attention. She was also great about following my care instructions and giving me plenty of fun and informative updates!
Rachel is a wonderful person and caregiver for pets! She loves getting to know your companion and tailors her approach to their personality and of course, the owner's guidance. She also sends lots of updates and cute pictures.

I am happy to stay in your home to continue consistency + routine for your pup, otherwise I also have indoor space, a fenced in front yard, access to the outdoors + nearby parks, and a dog bed + toys as needed at my place.

Availability
I'm currently available full-time in Chicago until the end of Dec 2022 for walking, drop-in visits, sitting, + boarding. Starting in Jan 2022, I will be Atlanta-based and will be available for boarding + sitting on the weekends (and during the week as needed).
