Paws in the Park: Doggy Day & Night Care
Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm an animal-loving food entrepreneur working from home, and live with my partner Matt who will care for your pup with me. With each of us having had dogs of our own growing up, we love being in the company of dogs - be it at home, on runs in Hackney Downs Park opposite our flat, or days out with friends! I have cared for dogs for over 15 years in the following capacities: PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - Professional dog sitter for over 4 years - Over 20 regular customers - Wide-ranging experience with dogs with different needs, from zesty pups to senior dogs requiring special medical care PERSONAL EXPERIENCE - Dog mama to my own pom, Frosty, through from 3 months old puppy through his lifespan of 13 years - Fostered 2 dogs I found abandoned in a park - took them in, rehabilitated, resocialised and rehomed them over 8 months - Regular go-to pet sitter for family and friends - RSPCA volunteer I aim to deliver the best sitting experience possible for both your pup and you. I find it most rewarding when working to build long-term relationships with you and your pup, enabling me to get to know your pup on a deep level, and care for them like I would my own during their stays. WHAT YOUR PUP CAN EXPECT: Quality care and supervision. Your pup will be well-socialised, well-exercised and greatly loved as if they were my own. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: COMMUNICATION I know how difficult it is to leave a beloved member of a family with a stranger, and as such do everything I can to put your mind at ease. We will be in constant communication via Rover and/or Whatsapp, and will find a communication frequency/schedule that works best for you.
Reviews
Rachel and Matt were amazing with my two dogs. They boarded for 2 days with them and I felt at ease the entire time they were in good hands. Usually one of my dogs can’t wait to get back home but he was hesitant leaving! I would highly recommend and I would be very happy to book again.
Rachel was great, super lovely and could tell she treated Yuki like her own, I really felt like he was in good hands, so would defo recommend
Rachel has looked after Poppy three or four times in the past and has always been absolutely amazing! She keeps us updated and it very flexible. Whenever Poppy sees Rachel, she gets so excited and can’t wait to leave us for her! Thank you Rachel, we know that Poppy is always safe and happy with you. X
Rachel has been so kind to Ninja who came home in a happy mood. She kept us updated throughout the whole time. She showed full care even before booking us in by noting down all the details of Ninja.

COMMUNICATION WITH NEW CLIENTS: I have an assessment call with all new clients before taking them on to ensure I can provide the best care for your pup's needs (more details below). CONSTANT COMMUNICATION THROUGH YOUR PUP'S STAY: We will be in constant communication via Rover and/or Whatsapp through the stay to provide regular updates and address any questions that may arise. LEADS: I keep your pup on a lead whenever out (unless getting confirmation from you that your pup can be let off lead). Even whilst off lead, I keep a constant eye on them so there is no chance of your pup getting lost on walks. NO DIRECT ROAD ACCESS: I live in a first-floor flat with three sets of doors, hallways and gates between my front door and the street outside so there is no risk of your dog accidentally running onto the road. NO BALCONY: There is no balcony so there is no risk of your dog falling.

Information Rachel W. would like to know about your pet
Before taking on any furry new clients, we'd have an assessment call to ensure I'd be a good fit to give your pup the best care, and to provide them with as much continuity to their normal lifestyle as possible. Areas we'll go over will include your pup's daily routines; personality traits and behavioural tendencies to be aware of; and vet details for good measure. The call will also be a good opportunity to go over any questions I'm sure you will have for me!
A typical day
I hold an assessment call with every new client to understand your pup's regular daily routine - from feeding times to walk/bathroom frequencies to downtime, and aim to replicate it as closely as I can to keep their stay as comfortable as possible. A typical day will look as follows but will be adapted to suit your pup's needs: MORNING: Wake up cuddles, mealtime, and a morning 20-30 minute run around in Hackney Downs Park. LATE MORNING - LATE AFTERNOON: Home playtime and downtime for your pup by my side, as I work from home. Cuddles and play together during my work breaks, bathroom breaks outside through the day, and we may go out on the occasional errand run together. EVENINGS: Evening 20-30 minute walk/playtime (or a short run) in Hackney Downs Park and mealtime. We may have friends over or go out with friends, or cuddle on the couch watching TV before bedtime.

Availability
During the week, I predominantly work from home and so have plenty of time to accompany and care for your pup. I enjoy being active and live right opposite Hackney Downs Park, so lots of walks and runs can be expected! When out, I will bring your pup out with me whenever I can - errand runs, days out with friends, the occasional meeting - or leave your pup home with my partner Matt. (See below for more details on a typical day for your pup)
