Pet care experience
I am able to care for pets in your home, usually 1-2x per day during weekdays and with availability for all day and overnight most weekends. Overnight visits on weeknights are negotiable. I can provide feeding, walking, playtime, brushing, baths, assistance with any training tasks you are working on with your dog, and lots of love and pets! If your dog needs medication, I am comfortable administering meds via mouth or injection. I am training as a vet tech so I have some experience giving injectable meds. For all dogs, but especially if your dog has any special needs, I will try to schedule a pre-visit to make sure I know all the details about how to care for them. **I can also provide care for non-canine pets.

Rachel was amazing! She sat for both of our older dogs, one of which has terrible separation anxiety and can be a bit of a handful. She gave us updates with pictures throughout her stay with them and made us feel reassured that they were doing well. She was also very flexible when we ended up getting home later than expected and made sure the dogs were well taken care of the entire time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

This will help me plan the type of care to provide and I'll stick as close as possible to any schedule you have (e.g. foods, medications, etc.). Meet-and-greets before sittings are great too. I want your dog(s) to feel comfortable with me, and to be as happy as possible while you are away.
A typical day
I enjoy taking my own dog to many of the local county parks and dog parks. I would love to take your dog on adventures there, as approved by you. I have experience from training and working with my family's hunting dog to retrieve toys, and do other tricks- if you have a high energy dog that could use some mental stimulation, I would love to have learning playtime with them vs. just your typical walk.
