Hi there! My name is Rachel and I have been a dog enthusiast my whole life. I’ve owned a golden retriever for five years and I’m looking to care for other dogs to help pay for school. I’ve had family dogs throughout my childhood and have dog sat on many occasions for friends and family. I’ve read several dog first aid books and other books on proper dog training and care.

Rachel was such a pleasure to work with on many occasions for both us and our pets! She has cared for our pups and kittens with such love for years now, they even still get excited to see her. She sends multiple updates with pictures, loves each one with their own personalities and even has a great sense for what each pet needs in the moment. She is smart and skilled with animals from her own experience. She has so much patience and has brought so much peace of mind to our family knowing our pets will always be taken care of and loved when we aren't able to!

I make sure to have a watchful eye on your animals at all times. My dog is mischievous and can get into trouble often so I am very used to having to be constantly aware of what the pet is doing and their surroundings.

Let me know if your dog has any specific needs to behaviors. I don’t watch Boxers or Rottweilers or mixes of those breeds, only because I don’t feel I am equipped for that. I love all breeds but have had a few dog attacks involving that breed so I wouldn’t feel as confident in my ability to watch them.
A typical day
I like to get my steps in so your dogs will have good amounts of walking in. I also love to play fetch and tug of war to help get their energy out.

Availability
I’m currently working part time from home so I’ll have plenty of time to hang out with your pup. I walk my dog frequently each day for extended periods of time. My dog is the big friendly giant and hasn’t been around a dog he doesn’t love. VERY friendly golden retriever, almost too friendly. I have a feeding routine already with my dog so I will be able to easily follow whatever feeding, medication, etc, regimens you have for yours.
