Hello! My name is Rachel and I graduated from UNCW with a minor in Assistance Dog Training! Ever since I was little my family grew up with animals. I have been a dog lover every since I was little - ask anyone!! I was the typical “dog girl” with my breeds book learning facts about different types of dogs. My first job taking care of animals was when I worked on a farm from ages 14 to 18. I was in charge of a variety of types of animal’s unique schedules and need for extended periods of time. Throughout high school I worked at a doggy daycare where I would walk dogs and supervise their exercise/playtime. I also would feed them and administered any medications needed. I made sure to keep their boarding rooms clean and safe for them too. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and ages and feel comfortable working with dogs that have behavioral issues as well. My minor in Assistance Dog Training taught me a lot about basic dog obedience and behavior, k-9 care, and so much more! I am extremely passionate about dogs and would love to take care of yours! My husband and I have fostered over 13 dogs and puppies in the past year. I currently train dogs professionally part time and would be happy to discuss and offer advice to help your dog become a more cohesive part of the family!
