I've cared for dogs my entire life. I'm originally from Chicago and Indianapolis, and I started using Rover after moving cross country to Portland, OR about 10 years ago. After a couple years of being unable to have dogs in different places I resided,, realized how much I missed having them in my life. I was grateful to work for Rover and fill that void until I was able to adopt a dog of my own. I can offer years of hands on experience caring for canines, plus training, exercise, discipline (the positive reinforcement kind), and of course attention and snuggles. My dog, June Bug, is great with other pets, so if more socializing is what you need we can help there as well. I’ve developed quite a soft spot for bully breeds over the years, but all dogs, miniature to giant, hold a place in my heart. It is safe to say my passion and enthusiasm for animals is genuine. I'm currently only working part time, so I can and do make time for pet care every day of the week. Sometimes my entire day is dedicated to pet care. In my home we basically just make sure we go on at least 3 walks a day, as I believe exercise to be the most important thing for a dog's well being.
