Pet care experience
I've been dog sitting for friends for the last 5 years simply because I love dogs. I've looked after dogs that range in size from playful chihuahua's to drooling lovable Mastiff's. I've never met a dog I didn't like and enjoy looking after other people's pets like they were my own. I can provide excellent testimonials to the care given by "aunt Rachel" and look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your kids. I work a flexible full time job and am able to spend time with your pups in the morning and the evening. That time will include whatever you think is best, each pet has a different energy level and exercises differently. I want to make the transition as seamless as possible for your pet and make each day you are away from them easier. In the past I've worked as an adoption counselor and caretaker for a local Petsmart adoption agency in NJ. I've also spent a lot of time taking care of pets with "special needs", specifically those that may need a little extra time and patience to adjust to a new person. I have yet to meet a dog I couldn't win over with a little extra care.

Rachel was so great to work with! She is friendly, professional, and you can tell she loves dogs. Our energetic beagle/lab Milo was so excited when she came for the meet and greet! She was great to play with him and appreciated his silliness showing off. Rachel also asked good follow up questions, was flexible and sent us a photo during the walk. We will definitely be using her again!
Rachel is our go to, we love having her stay with our dogs. We look for someone who is going to maintain their routine, balance and be an extension of ourselves. We love that Rachel consistently provides the same care and devotion we would for our two pups. They aren't the easiest to work with all the time but she gets the best out of them each stay. We know that they are safe and happy with her when life calls us away from them. I know they can't wait for their next stay with her!

Rachel was amazing with our two rescues. Our "kids" have very different personalities; Rachel was great with both our energetic hunting mix and our protective and hesitant collie mix, and she was quick to gain their trust. We received pictures of them playing and napping - which, when they are cuddling and napping with ease, we know they are comfortable and content. It is so nice to know they're in such capable and loving hands while we're away. The pups have found a new friend, and can't wait to have her come stay with them again!
