Pet care experience
I’ve been walking friends and family’s dogs since I was 12 years old. I grew up caring for animals and this experience shaped me into a caregiver for all types of animals. It is truly my passion to care for animals. My schedule is very flexible. I work for the Animal Legal Defense Fund and I love what I do. I am passionate about animal welfare and pet’s wellbeing, and I am so happy I get to advocate for animals. ☺️ I’m caring and respectful for every life and I understand animal’s needs. Re-booked with Rachel since she was great the first time we used her services. This time my pets/household threw her a few curveballs (including a SKUNK which sprayed right outside our house leaving the whole house and our dog smelling terrible for days). Thankfully, Rachel persisted in spite of the skunk catastrophe and took wonderful care of our stinky (but lovable) 15 year old dog and as well as our two kitties. She was always reliable, respectful of our house, and gave frequent updates and photos of our pets and the status of the house stench. We would definitely hire her again in the future (if she will ever come back - hope we didn't scar her for life with the skunk issue🤦♀️)! Thanks Rachel, you're the best!
Rachel was so kind and accommodating during my cat's stay, which was two weeks long. I asked if she could take him a day early and she was more than happy to accommodate my change of schedule, even though it was quite last minute.
Rachel took great care of our senior dog + 2 kitties while we were away for 5 days. One of our cats had a urinary issue and had to see the vet right before we left. I felt terrible burdening our sitter with a potentially sick cat and all the extra care instructions that went with that, but Rachel was super understanding and took everything in stride!
Rachel really saved us by watching Kona last minute for a night. She is great at communicating during the stay and we feel very comfortable knowing Kona is having a great time while we’re gone. We will definitely continue to book with Rachel.

I take into account and always follow the owner's instructions and routines for the pets. Also I give plenty of love, attention and playtime to all animals for their physical and emotional health.

A typical day
I like getting new pet toys that are seasonal and play play fetch or tug-of-war, going on hikes with very active dogs or visiting a dog park. In terms of places to go on walks, I choose areas that are safe and appropriate for the dogs I am watching. This includes local parks or quiet residential streets. My favorite parks to walk around are Balboa Park, Civita , Kate Sessions, Torrey Pines, and Fiesta Island.

Availability
I work full-time, but my office is just five minutes away, allowing me to easily care for animals during my lunch break. I am usually free on the weekends.
