Pet care experience
We’ve been the go-to doggy daycare for our family and friends over the last 5 years in Iowa City. We've cared for 7 year old pooches to 8 week old puppies. We have an Otto (2.5 years) and an Otis (8 months) and have room for an additional friendly pup to play in our large fenced in yard, go for walks, or train inside for the day or weekend.

It would be hard to find someone as good with puppies & dogs as Rachel. She is very kind and pays lots of attention to her fur friends. She is very concerned with the types of food she feeds them and makes sure they have lots of exercise and interaction. She's also good at teaching them tricks and makes sure they get lots of snuggles. I've no doubt anyone would rest at ease knowing their pet was well cared for by Rachel.

We have a fenced-in, good sized yard within close proximity to a walking path for longer walks and a dog park if needed. My husband is also a big dog lover and will be around but I will be the main carer of your pup through River. Our two pups (Otto and Otis) are very friendly with other dogs and are non dominant types nor are they aggressive. Our pups are all up to date with vaccines, and Otto is neutered. Otis will be neutered in March.

Is your dog good with other dogs and like to play nicely? We have two fairly active dogs who enjoy tug, chase and be chased, fetch, walks, snuggles, practicing commands, etc. Is your pup vaccinated and does he know some commands?
A typical day
Walk through our neighborhood and nearby bike paths. We have a large yard to play ball or to have sniff and roam around. We also enjoy playing hide and seek in the house or can reinforce tricks!

I’m an occupational therapist full-time, but have availability mainly on weekends. If good rapport, open to weekday assistance as available. Open to flexibility, but we also love set-schedules and consistency too.
