Pet care experience
Hello animal lovers and owners! As a novice nurse, I am looking to spend some of my off time hours with the things I love most...animals! I was fortunate enough to care for my own little dachshund, Chili, for 12 incredible years, but until the next pet I’m looking to care for others’ loved ones. Over the years I have pet sat, both on and off this app, for a number of families and a variety of animals. No animal is too large or small, hyper or lazy, young or old. I love them all and always will. If your dog or cat has special needs that I have never dealt with before, I promise I am a quick learner and am willing to work with you for any special needs. Rachel is a textbook dog-lover. My family has a 4 year old German Shepherd mix, and Rachel has been a great addition to my dog's life. Within my own home, I can offer them a comfortable apartment for several hours, but currently do not offer any overnight lodging. I can offer a variety of toys and plenty of cozy blankets for any time spent here, and safe walks within my neighborhood of the Museum District. Within a client's home, however you wish for me to care for your pet is how it will be done.

All I ask for is a general description of the animal's personality in order to cater my care to provide the proper activity and interaction. In addition, I ask for any preexisting health conditions your pet may have.
A typical day
I'm adaptable to any dog and their walking preferences. If a dog is only comfortable with walks around the neighbor then that is where we will walk, but I am also willing to provide walks through any local parks or other parts of town. Additional fun activities include car rides, fetch, tug-of-war, and maybe a short hike.

Availability
I currently work as a full-time nurse, 36 hours out of the week, at VCU Health Systems. While my schedule and availability look limited, I am willing to work personally with individuals to develop a schedule that meets both of our needs. Outside of my full-time job, I am willingly to dedicate most free time to caring for any pets.
