I am a career teacher by day, and for the first time in my life I am living without a companion in the house. I expect to benefit from the company of your pet just as much as they will benefit from my responsible and enthusiastic care. I have lived with a wide variety of animals throughout my life, and I've rescued and rehomed dozens of dogs and cats through the years. My temperament is calm and friendly yet authoritative. I am patient with anxious and/or high energy dogs, and I'm generally successful working with almost any pet personality. If your dog struggles around children, cats, or other dogs, my home will be a safe environment for them to board. I also have experience with elderly dogs and cats, so if your pet needs special care with diet, medicine, or exercise, I may be the right fit for what your family needs. Dog walks: I am extremely interested in picking up regular evening walking clients for when I get off of work as a teacher each day. I'm able to provide long and energetic walks in almost any weather condition. Cold, rain, wind or snow will not stop us (within reason!). These walks are also personally beneficial to me. I hope you will consider making my walking skills a regular routine for your family. I'm happy to take a chore off your list as you settle in at home after a busy day of work. Dog boarding (in my home): I am not available every weekend, but I will be available for a few each month. I will be available to board a single dog or dogs from the same household on most Sunday-Thursday evenings throughout the month. I have a large first-floor apartment in a house centrally located in the downtown SF area. My apartment is extremely dog-friendly. I don't mind a dog on the furniture with me, if that helps them feel comfortable. If they are crate trained, I can also support that need for your pet. If you have a puppy, we will make sure your puppy is safe and nurtured in a home, not the kennel. Home check-ins: I have been providing home check-ins to friends and family from a very young age. I am happy to stop by your place and provide care for any type of animal. I will also be sure to give them time and companionship. If you would like me to stay at your house, I will take that into consideration as well.
