Reliable and Trustworthy Pet Lover
Pet care experience
I grew up with cats and dogs, and I’ve been offering my pet sitting services to my friends, family, neighbors and colleagues for more than 20 years. I currently have two cats and two tanks of fish. When I visit your home, I do more than just fill up the food dish. I make sure to play with your pets, coo at them and give them lots of love and attention. I will rub your dogs’ bellies and scratch their ears. I will scratch your cats chins, pet their cheeks, pat their bums and play with them. I also understand that each pet has their own personality and some pets want space. So I will take cues from your instructions and their behavior and adapt to meet their needs. I will make sure your pets are fed according to your instructions and I will refill their water bowl. I love taking long walks and have plenty of experience picking up and properly disposing dog poop.
Reviews
Rachel was amazing! She took care of my cat while I was gone for the holidays and even brought her toys to play with. Her communication was excellent and she sent so many photos with a very detailed synopsis of her visits. I will definitely use her in the future and recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter!
Rachel is great! She loved on my two pups like they were her own. She was professional and timely. She also gave me updates about the dogs with each visit! I will definitely be using her again.
Rachel went above and beyond for our pup who had some stomach issues and needed some extra care while we were away. She gave daily updates with the best photos and our dog absolutely loved her! Highly recommend to be trusted with your precious pet :)
My dog had an amazing time, very thorough updates. Will definitely book again

I care for pets at my clients’ homes and take photos throughout our time together. When I enter their house, my first priority is to greet the pet(s) and give them lots of love and attention. If caring for dogs, the next thing I do is take them out to my client’s backyard or take them on a walk so they can relieve themselves because many of these pets have already been in the home for hours and need a potty break. I’ll pick up the excrements in the backyard. For cats and dogs, I’ll then feed them according to the owner’s instructions. After they eat, I like to play with them and give them more love. If my clients have cameras in their homes, I like to bring their pets in front of the camera and wave their little paws at the camera, so my clients still feel connected to their furbies. Before I leave, I’ll fill up their water bowls with fresh water and I’ll take the dogs out one more time to see if they need to go potty again. Then I give my pet friends a little more love and say goodbye until our next visit.
Information Rachel P. would like to know about your pet
It’s important to know if your dogs are potty trained and if your dogs are having any stomachs issues that would lead them vomit or poop in the house while clients are away. If a client knows their pet is sick or has a sensitive stomach, then the client should indicate if there are any special medications or foods that need to be administered or a special procedure that should be followed. In addition, they should have plenty of puppy pads, cleaning supplies, including trash bags/grocery bags on hand. It’s also advisable to book a one-hour session to ensure the pet gets the attention they need and deserve. Otherwise, if a 30-minute session is booked and a pet poops or vomits in the house, especially on carpet or rug, then most of my time will be going toward cleaning up the pet’s indoor accidents so clients don’t come home to a messy and smelly house. Please also indicate where to dispose of this waste. A trash can outside, in a garage or closet are ideal locations that help ensure the smell doesn’t infiltrate the entire home.
A typical day
When I care for dogs, I like to toss the ball in the backyard. I also like to take them for walks around the neighborhood or at a nearby park. if the weather is bad (raining or super windy), then I like to play inside with them and their other toys, such as tug-o-war inside. I also have a laser toy that I like to bring with me and play with my clients pets (dogs and cats). If my clients have certain training commands they’re working on with their dogs, then I like to practice those with them. I’m also happy to brush my client’s cats and dogs if they like. As for cats specifically, I love to play with the wand toys with them.
