Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Rachel and I like dogs more than people most of the time. Our energies tend to match, especially when it comes to being outdoors and active. I easily walk 4 miles a day, run every other day, have pretty full availability, and an encyclopedic knowledge of all the best parks in South Philadelphia. I have basic training abilities that gained working at a doggy daycare via treat based and non-treat based exercises. I taught the dogs I worked with to sit, fetch, stay and to not fight the leash. I have one cat who is used to the company of dogs and doesn't scratch or bite. Currently I am just looking to make dog care more a part of my life with the freedom to schedule myself. Available Monday-Friday for lunch time or morning walks.

Rachel was incredible with our pets. She was patient with getting our dog to warm up to her, it was his 1st time using a dog sitter. She regularly sent us pictures of Tucker at the dog park, or playing ball outside. He was definitely spoiled with exercise and attention! She stayed at our house the whole week, even washed her sheets before she left, above and beyond what we were expecting. We are so so grateful we found her, and will absolutely be requesting her in the future!
Rachel did a great job house sitting my dog. She was great managing his needs and let me up to date on their daily adventures. Would definitely recommend her!!!
Rachel was our go-to sitter while we lived in Philadelphia. Our two dogs loved her and she always left our apartment in great shape. I'd definitely recommend her!
Rachel is our dogs' favorite sitter. Once a friend of ours spotted Rachel walking them in Rittenhouse and was really impressed with how much exercise and fun they seemed to be having. We would definitely recommend her to others too!

No preferences for breed, but I do tend to fall in love with any medium sized dog with a lot of energy like an Aussie or Pit. Also in recent years I’ve found a real affinity for large breeds like Great Danes and Greyhounds.
A typical day
Walks will usually take about an hour, with some time playing fetch and running around at the parks by 4th and Tasker or Broad and Oregon. Lots of rolling around in the grass! I'd bring the water and tennis balls.
