I'm a farm-raised, native born Kansan, who has lived in Lawrence for the past 10 years. I was basically raised around animals, taking care of the livestock, wildlife, and the many trusty farm pets we had throughout my childhood. I can't remember a time where we didn't have at least two dogs on the farm - hence my love for dogs. Since being in Lawrence, I recently got my own dog, a young Boxador we've named Leyland. I have had her for the last two years, and have learned a lot about the difference between free-reign farm pets, and in-town dog life. Because of my experience with farm dogs, I know that pets deserve plenty of outdoor, active play time, so I make it a point to schedule this into my dog's day, and my work schedule. I know all of the great dog trails, off-leash parks, and am pretty handy at training dogs to walk better and be polite in public settings when on downtown walks. I attribute my dog's training, and my training knowledge to the professionals at Wagmore Canine Enrichment, in Lawrence, KS. These ladies know their dogs, and model the proper treatment and language to train dogs lovingly. I take my dog on multiple walks a day, and try to make it out to the dog park and trails multiple times a week, usually bringing along a car-full of neighborhood dogs as well. Since I am such a dog-lover, and enjoy keeping my lovable pup exercised and happy, I thought I could also help other dog-parents benefit from our active lifestyle.
