Welcome! I know you're looking for the best care for your pet and you came to the right place! I have been a board certified licensed veterinary technician for 6 years. I currently work at the Auburn Small Animal Teaching Hospital on weekdays. My background is in emergency and critical care and I currently work in radiation oncology. I am experienced in the medical management of diseases, intervention in trauma/emergency, and have access to veterinary specialist if anything was needed. Because of this access, any veterinary needs can be addressed immediately (but hopefully that would never come up). If you are interested in your pet coming to my home, I currently live in Opelika with my own pets and there are many benefits to my home - Large, fenced-in backyard - Dog door so they can go in and out as they please - Extra crates in case we need to run out - Walking distance to floral dog park where we go pretty much every night by routine - 2 adults at home with experience caring for animals

We were very happy with the care Rachel provided for our cats while gone. Tucker requires infusions every other day so we needed someone who was qualified to do this, which she was. Tucker warmed up to her quite quickly and, once found, behaved. Koko is pretty laid back and appreciated the daily attention. The four of us would agree that we would have Rachel back again.
Rachel is the best! My fur babies instantly took to her. She is loving and I could tell right away that she had a heart for pets. Totally recommend!
Rachel is an awesome dog/house sitter!! She has great experience with animals and when we were gone for 10 days, it was evident she took the time to get to know our two King Charles spaniels. One of them was feeling sick, and she knew right away what to do and took them to the vet & kept us updated. All is now well. She proactively provided daily updates, pictures, picked up out mail and even left the house spotless. She is the best dog sitter we have had! We will definitely be hiring her again and trust her with our home and pups! Thank you.
We had no doubts that Sammy was in great hands with Rachel. She kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our 5-day trip and it's clear Sammy had a great time with Rachel and her pets! She also administered Sammy's medication when needed, and we greatly appreciated how easy pick-up and drop-off were. We're so thankful we found Rachel and she's undoubtedly our new go-to sitter!

No breed preferences or breed discrimination. I would like to know whether he is dog friendly so I can know where to take them, or not take them! Any medical issues as well as their feeding routine and how I can make their time away from you as stress free as possible!
A typical day
Whatever is part of the normal schedule you usually do with your dog, just because you are out of town does not mean that he needs to be cooped up all day!

Availability
The most important thing I stress is if your pets are cat friendly, I don't want to put my smaller animals in any danger. I do have 2 large male dogs who are both neutered and I would love for them to meet new dogs in a neutral location before hand. They are social and have had many dogs stay in their environment but with animal behavior sometimes things just don't work and that's okay, but I'd rather know before hand to cut down on your stress and your pets stress.
