Pet care experience
I’ve previously owned 3 cats, and still own a large dog (weighing over 100 lbs!). My dog is not with me, as I am currently living in a house in Amherst while I go to school. I’ve dog sat for about two years occasionally taking some into my own home if needed. I love all animals. I am a senior undergraduate at UMass. My classes end no later than 4 on any given day (except occasionally Mondays). I’m very flexible with my schedule and of course open to whatever times you need. For pets in my home, I fed and clipped the nails on my dog. I took him for walks or runs depending on how he felt that day (he determines whether we run or walk of course). I have not clipped cat nails, but I have experience emptying litter boxes and fed them as well as cleaned up after them if there were any accidents.

Rachel M. has pet sat for my cat multiple times, every time I have gone on vacation, and without fail had sent me updates and multiple pictures every day. Her love for animals is unmatched and it is clear every time my cat gets to see Rachel that he is excited and ready to play!

I have a very large dog who was from tennessee. Although he is currently at my moms house while I am away at school, when I was in high school I primarily took care of him. I would take him for runs (walks as he got older or depending on how he felt), and hikes, I clipped his nails, brushed his fur, and fed him. I do not have my dog with me at my place in Amherst.
Information Rachel M. would like to know about your pet
It is important to let me know if your dog will be violent. I have dog sat dogs before who were known to have a more abrasive tone towards new people. I will be fine with the dog as long as we have met a few times prior and he will be able to recognize my scent. It also helps me if I know how active/ mobile the dog is (how often he walks or runs). My dog towards his younger age loved to run but now that he's older, his hips are beginning to hurt and I cannot walk him a far distance.
A typical day
I would love to take your dog on walks or runs. My favorite place to walk is somewhere with a clear path and trees around. I also love walking on the beach, however there are none around Amherst. My place in Amherst is located around numerous trails and a park which would be great for walking around or playing in.

I am currently a college student in my senior year. My schedule it pretty tightly packed during the day, but during the evening in early in the morning, I have plenty of time to stop by or hangout.
