Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm a graduate student with a flexible schedule. I would love to help you provide the best care possible for your dog while you are away! I grew up in a home that always had dogs and currently have three of my own. I have experience caring for both large and small breeds, as well as caring for dogs of all ages. I have experience training puppies and I also have experience providing care for senior dogs with special needs. Additionally, I'm a very active person; if your dog likes to go for frequent walks or runs, I'll be more than happy to do it! Because I have pets of my own, I understand that they're a special part of your family and can ensure they'll be happy and healthy while you're away.

I would recommend Rachel to care for dogs with special needs. I have an 11 year old Boston Terrier with sight issues who she took care of for me while I was out of town. Rachel seemed very mindful of Zoe's sensitivities to loud noises and her limited ability to get around. She kept me updated on how my dog was doing while I was away, which eased my mind and let me enjoy our little getaway! I was completely satisfied and very happy with the care she provided.
Not only does Rachel take great care of her dogs, but she also took excellent care of mine while my husband and I were on vacation for a few days. We have three large dogs, two of which are Anatolian shepherd mixes, with lots of energy. She was able to check on them and take them for walks multiple times a day, which they loved. Would definitely recommend!

Before sitting a dog, I would like to know the following: if the dog has any special needs, including medications that they may need to take; the dog's feeding schedule (if applicable); the dog's usual bathroom schedule (i.e. every few hours) to prevent accidents/training regression; whether he or she is crate trained; if the dog has any temperamental issues that I should be aware of; his or her activity level; and the activities that they enjoy! I do not have any breed preferences; all are welcome!
A typical day
Depending on the owner's preference, we can go on walks around the neighborhood or a nearby park. I love getting my dogs engaged in games like hide and seek or teaching them new little tricks and would do the same with the dogs I watch.
