Insulin Administration Experience
Pet care experience
Hello and welcome! My name is Rachel. I am an animal enthusiast who grew up with three Golden retrievers, many hamsters, and some fish along the way. In the present day, I have a big, lovable Mastiff mix, along with 4 bunnies. My pet care experience is extensive, as I have cared for pets of a variety of age ranges and health conditions, including: diabetes, thyroid disorders, and blindness. A handful of my regular clients require insulin shots, so I am very comfortable and knowledgeable with proper insulin administration techniques. As a pet parent to a dog with separation anxiety and leash reactivity to other dogs, I fully understand the nervous feeling of leaving a pup with special needs in someone else’s care. I hope to be a source of comfort for pet parents with dogs or cats that require extra attention/ accommodation, knowing that I will treat them as my own. I also have a huge passion for rabbits, and know the ins and outs of the strict care requirements for a healthy, happy rabbit.
Reviews
Our whole family LOVE Rachel!!! She has been our sitter for almost 2 years now? And she has been the most professional & best friend to our kitties ♥️
Rachel is my “go-to” when I need care for my dear, persnickety cats. They are fed and talked to and petted on time, the liter boxes are clean, and she communicates very well. This time was an emergency and she made it look easy. She’s a caring professional and you would be pleased with her
Another great job!!!
Great job once again!!

Pet care routines: My visits consist of greeting your pets and spending time with them when I first arrive. I then tend to any feeding, water refreshments, potty breaks, or whatever else your pets may need. The rest of my time is spent playing with, petting, or walking them. You will also receive quality photos/ videos during each visit, along with a synopsis of how your pets are doing.
Information Rachel M. would like to know about your pet
Please inform me of any health issues that require special accommodations so that I can prepare accordingly. If your pet starts displaying any symptoms of illness before the stay begins, be sure to let me know. Please be transparent about any pet behaviors I should know of (i.e. human/ animal reactivity, accidents in the house, door dashing, food aggression).
A typical day
A typical day in my care: Every stay is customized to the needs of your pet. Upon the first visit, I take note of personality traits and interests. Taking comfort level and personality into consideration, I will spend a lot of time playing with and petting certain pets, while other, more shy pets, may just like me to sit by them for companionship, or give occasional pets without overwhelming them. Making sure your pet is comfortable, and feels safe with me, is a top priority. For dog walks, i work with pet parents to get a feel of what pace and conditions their dog is comfortable with to make sure they have an enjoyable, safe walk.
