Pet care experience
to the yard! 🥤 Instagram @rover_rach8o4 I live in a home with a 4-year-old yorkipoo, named Pootius Maximus ("Poot" for short) 🐶 and a 33-year-old partner, named Adam 👱🏻♂️. Adam works from home, and I work hybrid with a flexible schedule. We love going on walks or hikes, meeting friends at the dog park, and playing fetch. (We're also up for curling up on the couch for dog naps.) We live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of other dog owners, near many dog parks and lots of open spaces. Poot 🐕, Adam 👱🏻♂️, and I will do our very best to make your little (or big) floofer feel right at home! 🙌🏽 ❤ New to Rover? Use my code: RACHEL82541 to get $20 off your first booking! We make sure to practice social-distancing during meet-and-greets, drop-offs, and pick-ups. Thank you for supporting our small business, and we hope to hear from you soon! 😊
Reviews
We loved having Rachel watch our dog, Hank! She sent us multiple pictures and videos of him and gave us daily updates. She even took him on a hike and made sure he got his exercise. We will definitely be booking with Rachel again :)
Doobie had a great time and seemed really well taken care of!
Rachel rescued me when I needed a last minute over night dog sitter and I am eternally grateful for the care and love she showed my little puppy! She was awesome at sending pictures to me and showing me how well he was doing. He got to play with her puppies and she was very good at socializing him. He was very happy when he came back and I could tell that he was cared for and paid attention to. Thank you Rachel and Adam!
We can’t recommend Rachel and Adam highly enough! Our pup Barry didn’t want to leave when it was time for pickup. Barry spent three days with Rachel and Adam and had a blast. He had walks, play time with other dogs, played games, and was loved the entire stay. From the moment we put in our request, we were met with a welcoming response, and wonderful questions on how to care for Barry. During his stay, we received daily photos and videos of how happy he was. Sending your pup here will leave with peace of mind knowing you dog is in the exceptional hands! Thanks again Rachel and Adam; and Barry sends his love!

My dog, Poot, can keep your fur baby company while we are out. They will have free range of the entire space. If your dog prefers to be in their crate, however, we can easily help with that. If this is the case, please provide their crate for us to use. We also have a doggy play pen that we can use, if desired.

Information Rachel L. would like to know about your pet
What do they enjoy doing? Are they potty trained? What is their bathroom schedule like? What are their meals like? Have they been spade/neutered? Where do they sleep? Do they have any allergies? Do they take any medications? Are they up to date on their vaccines (Bordetella, Rabies, and DHPP) and flea/tick meds? Please send us their most updated vaccines. Are there any rules you want them to follow (no jumping, stay off furniture, etc.)? How are they with other dogs? How do they do at dog parks? Hikes? Are they able to get up and down stairs ok? We live on the 3rd floor. Have they stayed with other sitters before? If yes, how was that experience for them? Is there anything else you can think of that would be helpful to make the stay more enjoyable for your dogs??
A typical day
We will try our best to stimulate your pup both physically and mentally (to the best of their ability). We love to play with toys, work on dog puzzles, explore the neighborhood and our nearby park, practice following commands, go on hikes, and visit our friends at the Rock Creek dog park! We would love to know what your dog's favorite activities are! Canine Repiratory Virus: We are asking all families to please take extra precautions with exposure to other dogs. We have stopped going to dog parks due to the high risk. Please look out for these symptoms: Cough Fever Lethargy Intermittent loss of appetite Eye / nose discharge Sneezing If your dog is showing signs, we kindly ask that you let us know immediately. We will do the same! Thank you!!

Adam works from home, and I work hybrid. We can provide many potty breaks throughout the day. Since we do not have a fenced-in yard, we go on lots of walks around the neighborhood. We can accommodate for dogs who are unable to walk far and for dogs who need longer walks!
